Hey guys, this is the ripped-from-the-website tracks from the TRON: Legacy soundtrack samples. I've just created some cover artwork and named the tracks (completely made-up) to look nice in iTunes or whatever music organizer you use.
Enjoy, Programs.

Many thanks for sharing. What software did you use for this? WM Recorder didn't work for me.

Thanks for grabbing this for us Biggs :) I freakin' love Daft Punk <3 It sounds like they've really got a good handle on making soundtrack music. I probably won't watch the movie, but I'll most likely buy the disc when it comes out.
edit - After listening to a couple other bits it sounds like they've been favoring the sound from BB and TDK lulz XD

Just viewed the source code on the website, found the .mp3 tags and downloaded em directly. No converting or anything... It's just what was posted, which was slightly better than the official disney site that has them streaming at 112kbps or less...

Excellent! Thanks for those. Anyone catch the new trailer that was released yesterday at Comic Con? It's on Yahoo and Youtube now:

sounds awesome and it's disturbing but some tracks remind me of Inception score by Zimmer like "Victory"

EXCELLENT!!
I'm a huge fan of alternative scores, and this sounds amazing. Hopefully we'll get a complete score release for Tron: Legacy. It sounds like it deserves one.

I dont' see why we wouldn't get a score release since Daft Punk is well known and loved. I'm looking forward to it.
One more time for today: here we go -
RE-RIP, RE-MIX and RE-CLEAN all 6 tracks in @320 (

using my unique collection of filters. Clean and powerfull as never before. You need it, i know... the score!

When did you "re-rip" the tracks? Disney updated the site sometime during the afternoon of 2010-07-23 (a little over 24 hrs after it went live after the Comic Con panel) and removed tracks 4-6.

No offense Zero_Flyer - but you can't "FILTER OUT" low-quality web rips and up-source them to 320kbps. Sound doesn't work that way. You're just making crappy audio sound slightly better, the bit-rate doesn't change. It will always stay 128kbps because that's the source you're working from...
I really don't know what stream-rate original tracks are, but when I record and work with them, they appears to be 320kbps. I record them from this blog BTW.

Did you get them from the 107.7 The End blog post??
If you did, I just used Firefox to grab the mp3's off the site and checked their bitrate...and they are all 128.
"when I record", were you using a recording program? that works through the soundcard? if you are, you can set the bitrate to anything. But it won't make a difference, unless you lower the bitrate below 96k.
And when you edit, add filters, etc, you lose quality as you do so, even when you work with them in 320k.
EDIT: On a more interesting note... The Disney mp3's (which I also used Firefox to grab) seem to be MONO as well as 112k.
The 107.7 blog seem to be STEREO as well as 128.

It's the same source, they're all 128kbps. There's no difference audio-wise - if anything the ones that I linked are larger file-size. So no idea whats going on there... either way, they're 128kbps. So not any different.

Thanks for Random Access Memory! It's amazing how they get away writing music seemingly out of date by good 35 years. The only thing that gives it away is IMO the vocoded vocals. I cannot recall any band aside Kraftwerk to use vocoders so extensively back in the 70's.
