Here's a question, anyone happen to have the Rio handover music? I see Seu Jorge performed (he was in the white suit). For those of you that don't know who Seu Jorge is, he was the guy that did all the acoustic versions of the David Bowie songs in the Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.

The last song played in the Rio section, right after the logo of the Rio games shows up, is called 'Aquele Abra�o'. I don't have the version played in the ceremony and i haven't found any vid of it yet, but it's pretty famous Brazilian song and you can find plenty of versions on youtube, but none from the olympics so far.

There's a coincidence on this song, has it was composed by Gilberto Gil during the Brazilian military regime at the time when he exiled himself in... London!

Anyone happen to have a track list for what was played during the 2012 Paralympics Opening Ceremony Parade of Nations? I hear it starts off with Galvanize (as it was used for the Olympic OC), then followed by Spectrum by Florence + The Machine. After that not sure what the tracks are until Team GB came out and they played David Bowie's Heroes. There are a few tracks in there that I recognize, but not too many. Unfortunately, the album for the OC, Enlightenment, did not include the Parade of Nations.

There were pieces from both Swan Lake and The Nutcracker. Also, during the sports constellation segment just before the torch came in, they played Daft Punk's "The Game Has Changed" from TRON Legacy. The Russian team marched in to a remix of tATu's "Not Gonna Get Us".

The theme for the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics was of course composed by maestro John Williams, and it appears in the 2-CD compilation from 1999. Plus, in 1996, there was John Williams conducting The Boston Pops Orchestra released CD, Summon The Heroes, with Olympic themes. The latter is a must have. I have it and it's in a storage unit somewhere...

My next album is the 1988 Summer Olympics Album: "One Moment in Time." This has a different rendition of John Williams' "The Olympic Spirit," which is definitely a must-listen. I'm not a huge Whitney Houston fan, but I like her song on this album. Some of the songs are a bit cheesy, but it's worth a listen. I have more music but I haven't posted it due to lack of interest. In particular I have the Beijing 2008 3-CD pack that I may post in the future. My question is, anyone have the new tease music that NBC's been using? It sounds like a march version of "Summon the Heroes" but is definitely new since 2016. I'd like to at least know what it's called and where to buy it. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, please respond, and I'll try to post the music I have.
