I bet u have all played it or at least heard about it. yes cs rulz. to sum it up its a kick ass game.

it has a big problem though. This problem is cheaters. I hate them, there is no point in cheating on onlines games, it spoils the game 4 them and other ppl.

so do u prefere unreal tournament? i can't play fast games cos i always die, but don't get me wrong i don't play counter-strike so i can camp.

I still play CS every now and then. Hacks and such are still pretty damn rampant still, though. Punkbuster helps if you're on a server that supports it, but usually you're just gonna get killed by a headshot in the first minute of the round.

I've got Unreal Tourney, but really never got into it. All the uber death kill weapons just didn't suit my style of play. *shrug*

Quake 3: TA is still probably my favorite FPS to this day. Raw, unbridled carnage that's incredibly fastpaced and simple. I just wish I didn't have such a hard time finding a fairly populated, unlagged server. Meh.

punkbusters ok but it doesn't stop the lastest hacks. UK2 servers have just upgraded their systems and it stops ogc users and some other hack that i can't remember the name of. Well i can remember the firts letter and that a z I THINK.

The problem is that the hacks have now been upgraded and so hackers are starting to creep back on.

I think that there is always gonna be this battle against hacks and counter cheats software

I prefer Day of Defeat, myself....which is another half life mod (like CS)

cs rules yes... the hackers dont piss me off.. because i ussualy just waste them.. even when the hack they suck ass jesus..

and day of defeat is sweet ass also.. same with deathmatch and firearms.

I agree i prefer Death Match Classic to Counter strike. Its easier to get into, faster and with counter strike i end up dying quickly and it obviously takes ages to get good at it.

no chance, TF is the best Mod for Halflife by far, Team Fortress is just more fun, I hate it when you play CS and spend more time dead than alive, its boring, but still its the best mod for a LAN game (I play it at an internet cafe)

I love UT. And Day of Defeat. CS is ok, but i prefer Strike Force for UT. And yes, cheaters are darned horrible! Another negative for cs. However, it seems that more people play cs than sf, but not too big of a deal.

Yes, it is a good game. However it is a little slow, and now there's cheats that can counteract the cheat detectors. They're always obvious though, people who get 50 - 3 as a score and say that everyone else is useless. I've got a clan and all, it's a strict anti-cheat clan. KIR, it means Keep It Real, makes sense.

OK i'll admit that CS is dangerously addictive yet it can be rather slow and with the cheats available some people can really spoil the game. Getting 40 - 2 and just saying everyone else is crap. I mean c'mon. If you want fast pacing heart racing action then try Action Half-Life, it is complete with dives, rolls and realistic damage, Hence, if you get shot in the leg...you limp and gradually lose health, however you can counteract this by bandaging up your wounds, i highly suggest you try it :D

CS was a good game. I used to play it alot but not really anymore. Its pretty fun an addictive.

CS still rules though Im a great player over a LAN!

That means you need a low ping to play well. I real player should be able to play well with a 250 ping, learn to compensate your actions because of the lag. You'll then be a better player.

Hmm, i can understand where you are comming from but in fact you are wrong. I used to think the people with 70-2 were cheating, they simply said that every1 else sucked, im afraid they were right. I am one of those 72-2 ers, not in counter-strike, but in DMC i have gone up to 123-0 before. I dont cheat, but think about it for a second, ive been playing for a year, i know the level INSIDE AND OUT, i know where every single damn item is, even unimportant items, i know where they are on massive levels. I can keep track on where my opponent is just by using the sounds as he picks things up. i can keep my health between 150 and 250 at all times, and 200 armor. I simply restock after a battle. Now, what chance does a newbie who has been playing for a week, have against me. He dont know the level chances are he has no decent weapon, he has no expereince so chances are ill kill him before he even shoots with a rocket or lighning shaft. I also control the quad, so its a X4 damage always with around 30+ rockets, and full armor and health vs a newbie with a shit weapon, no experience, no level knowledge and 100 hp... Ill let u figure.

As for CS, the same applies except slightly differently. In cs a good player will know how to use the weapons, a newbie is on full auto at any range, he probably wont hit a single bullet, a pro uses bursts of 2 or 3 shots with his AK, he doesnt move when he fires so the gun is very accurate, his experience gives him good aim skills, he is quick at the beginning of the level, it will take another good player to take him out.

CS is a ripoff of RedStorm Entertainment games.

They tried to rewrite R6, with Rogue Spear's graphics and coin it as an original design *rolls her eyes.*

CS is just for frag freaks who sometimes want to be a little more 'strategic' about their FPS gaming.

The only avantage CS has over other FPS titles it the ability to shoot through objects.

There really is no synthesis of the difference in game style(s) between Quake III / UT and R6/RSpear.

The former is for blast radius nuts who love constant action. The latter is for audiences of CQ tactics.

One is blistering fast, the other has fast moments that usually only last a few seconds, then all is awkwardly (sp ? )silent again.

It was also cute how they put CS on the market for sales, when it was free on the web for over a year....

I dont think you should put CS down. Dispite everything its an incredible game.. the entire half-life generation is.. its one of the best games ever especially for value. There sso much re play value there, ive been playing it for over a year and still do. No console game has ever done that for me, ive played it more than i ever played any FF game, teh same goes for starcraft but HL generations has been a bigger hit for me, ive played it more

There may be console cross-overs now for the P2, but if you hadn't noticed, HL: TFC and CS are PC only.

They might put something out in the next year, for use with the online adapter but other then that....

If you like CS, you should consider R6 and all of it's decendants.

The difference between HL generation and R6 generation titles, is that the former are usually just quickly throw together mods while the latter consist of actual games.

Yea i know they are.. obviously, i dunno why i said more than any console game, should of said any game. All mods for cs are as good as actual games, considering the games i play on it are mods and i rarely play CS
