I pulled out the music from the beta. This is the format that it came in as-is - .ogg VBR at around 160 kbps. The quality remains decent despite the low bitrate.

Yes. The zerg have a lot of tracks, so the other races will at least get as many tracks by release. There will also surely be campaign cues and cinematic cues like in Warcraft 3. If necessary, I'll rip those on release as well.

What player are you using? I just use Winamp for music. Google yields plugins that are really easy to install. I believe Foobar2000 natively supports ogg and other such formats. Itunes also has an .ogg plugin that is easily googled.

They stuck with a very similar theme compared with the old soundtrack. I enjoy that fact very much. I miss the synths they used in the previous soundtrack for the terrain themes, but they don't sound half bad at all and they still have to good ol' country boy sound to them still.

I will upload the new/edited tracks from patch 9 in the near future.

Here is a rip of the Patch 9 tracks. This has at least two new pieces - a second Protoss track and a new Menu track. As the patch included every other piece and someone told me that they may have been updated I included those as well.
