Seems just to be a mix of dvdrip/score edits, trackqualities awfully differ and after a skipthru there seems nothing new.

Yeah this is missing the two tracks I really want: the gypsy theme when the old woman (forgot her name) gets rejected in the beginning, and the music during the wake

hey guys, thanks for sharing the score! Huge fan of Young's gothic horror scores. I was wondering if someone who has heard this Complete version could help me out real quick. I am trying to figure out the quality/source of the score. Someone above made it sound like a dvd rip with questionable quality.
Is this true? is this not an actual complete score, or Recording Sessions of the film? The track titles have reel numbers and it seems to be a fair bit longer than the commercial album, so just wondering about the quality of the recording, thanks!

It's a tough call. I just downloaded and listened to it, and if it wasn't for a few tracks here and there that seemed like they were legit unreleased tracks, I'd have no doubt in my mind that it was edited from the album (i.e. abrupt fade-outs, pitch changes, beginnings of some tracks were mixed with segments of others, ect.)
The "sound quality" itself you're wondering about is fine; it definitely isn't a DVDrip (except for possibly the end and opening credits) and all tracks are stereo, ect.
Like I said, it's a tough call and a mixed bag. However, I would say that it is not a legit complete score/recording sessions. It's very nice to have for a Christopher Young fan, but to me it doesn't seem like the real deal, at least not from the perspective of it's entirety, if that makes sense.

Hey cheeseparty, thanks for the input on this album. I think for now I will just stick with the original soundtrack album I already have, seems easier and smoother all around, plus still a fair amount of music. If there ever Is a true complete score, I'd definitely love to get that though.

Then why did he make the guy who was possessed dance in the air like a rabid Monkey?
And I was talking about THIS film not Evil dead that movie Was just plain Creepy. ;-;

I thought it was a great film. It was scary but didn't take itself seriously. Great fun! And the soundtrack is scarily gorgeous. Christopher Young most definitely had an influence on Joseph Bishara for Insidious's soundtrack.

If you've ever seen Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness then you will probably understand better. After The Evil Dead, Raimi's horror flicks had less of a serious tone and more of a slapstick-horror feel. You definitely couldn't take those films seriously and while you couldn't take this film entirely seriously it did pretty much everything it set out to do spot-on. It scared me, it made me laugh, and it made me really laugh but if you've seen his older films and understand them from a fanbase's perspective then you will love this movie. If not, you'll probably hate it. Which in this case you apparently hated it.

People who hate on this movie probably just aren't fans of Raimi's horror work. I will never forget when I saw this back in May of '09. I went with 3 of my friends, and we were laughing and yelling throughout all of it. I think I yelled the loudest when Christine is at the funeral and the body falls on her and all the nasty ooze spews on her face. Also, the piece of pie and the eyeballs popping out of her face. This was a terrific movie, as well as the score.

Not legit. All fanmade. The titles and slates doesn't match the sheets.

There were a few clean rips from the DVD/Bluray but for the most part it was just the album re-sequenced and re-edited. I still hold out for the real complete sessions. Christopher Young sessions don't leak often so keep your fingers crossed. The film version of the main titles features that creepy vocal crescendo instead of the over mixed orchestra. Re-use fees probably prevented the film presentation on album or perhaps it was a producer/composer choice.
