Apparently the newest game from SE. I hadn't heard or read about it before, however it already has english voice acting, as is shown in the trailer link above, so I'm guessing it's been at least announced if not released for some time.

Anyone know anything more?

i've heard of this. it's an action-RPG made by Cavia (of Drakengard fame...or infamy) and there are two versions, one of which (Nier: Replicant) will be released only in Japan and only on PS3. The other, Nier: Gestalt is the international version for both PS3 and 360. Both use different protagonists.

Yeah. Thexder came out on a bunch of different platforms back in 1985. I remember Chrontendo (http://chrontendo.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html) doing an episode that included the NES version. It's not supposed to be good, and it's not the most well known game either. So I wonder why there's a remake.

All the gameplay looks like is the .Hack games on steroids with the visuals of Assassin's Creed.

Nier huh, I kind of thought it looked like a sequel to the Last Remnant at first. BTW anyone else think "FFVIII" when the background music played?
