For you guys who rip CDs and modify music files, do any of you guys know of any good applications (preferrably freeware) that is good at cropping part of an mp3 file?

I downloaded the Pokemon Anime Collection Soundtrack @ 320kbps last night, but want to cut out the stupid Pokedex talk at the end of each track. However, I do not want to alter the quality of the song in anyway...

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I was also looking for something like what the original poster was looking for and this is a great application.

Thanks for the link.

Soundforge from Sony is an amazing software.

Audacity is actually a little easier to use than some of the other beefy audio programs out there. I use Cubase.

Looks like the one Leon Scott Kennedy sent you to should work as you want it to, though.

Audacity, complicated? I can see you saying that if you're talking about doing more to the file, but cropping? All you have to do is select the part you don't want and press delete. I even think they toned down the available options in the newer versions. But then there is no need to have something with extra bulk when you only need to do one thing. I'd actually suggest learning the workings of the program anyway, its a nice little gem. You can extend some songs and parts of songs if you loop them right. (Though Soundforge's marking system makes doing that easier.)
