Felt tired of being such a leech and finally stumbled across something awesome that, to my knowledge, hasn't yet been posted here. So, here ya go. After Yoko Kanno, Taku Iwasaki is my favorite composer, and he didn't dissapoint here. Working in a bit of a rougher, more sinister edge to the sultry spy-jazz sound he experimented with in R.O.D, he's created a high-tempo adrenaline rush of electro-tinged orchestral numbers, pulsing beats, his signature robust strings, heartfelt pianos and that sweet, sweet sax.

I torrented the soundtrack off of Nipponsei, I'll put it on megaupload tomorrow in this thread. =) It's a typically diverse and exciting score by Taku Iwasaki, and I'd like more people to hear it.

There are several standout tracks on here, such as the handclaps-filled "Panthers", the all-percussion "No Way Out", and the acoustic guitar solo "Everywhere You Wish". There is a jazzy and electronic sound that dominates although there are some orchestral elements (Taku Iwasaki contracted with Jun Takeuchi Strings like he always does to add an orchestral element). It's a very fitting sound for 009-1.

Also note that the entire tracklist and the majority of the booklet is in English, which is pretty nice.

Remind me if I ever make an animated spy show to hire this guy. XD

Man, this show kicks ass and takes names! And that OST...it's like a blend of James Bond with an edge! Personally, episode 3 was the best so far.
