hi,
I wanted to create a nice compilation. This was especially motivated by the track "wandering flame" from FFX (kind of ambient/chill music that inspire hope, expectations , and peace for me). Anyway I've done some search and gathered what could fit with this special mood . All more or less ambient stuff.

In some tracks I only kept a part to better fit the overall compilation, or so that it's not boring. When the track is severely reduced to a small portion, I've put the mention "excerpt".

EDIT: Added a Second Volume. . Three years later my attempt to suggest something more or less similar.

Ok first the cover, I hope you like my Photoshop Skills:

Then the playlist :

Nice compilation. I've always wanted to do something like this, just never put in the effort.

It's always interesting to see what others find to be relaxing and/or ambient.

Props for putting Yann Tierson, Tibet, and Cafe del Mar all in the same place :-D.

@grimgrim
Thanks for your comment, I've spent a lot of time making this compilation.

For the track "I'm the walrus", I was looking for instrumentals closer to original beatles song... A bit too catchy, not enough "ambient" perhaps. Still nice.

Wonderful compilation and I get the strong sense of personal taste here, since you didn't fill the album with much more classic chills.
Oh, and at last, someone that knows how to do the tagging job right :)
Thanks!

I've listened to your Soothing & Heart Touching Sounds compilation, and though I've already have some of them, you made me discover some new and great music. It's exactly what I look for when grabbing those kind of compilation. So thank U very much. Can't wait to listen the rest of your patient work, beginning by this one

Re-uploaded as someone requested.
This compilation has been slightly updated:
- replaced track "Claire de Lune" by a version with better dynamic range.
- replaced track from medievil, by a version of better quality, found on magazine cd, instead of game rip
- replaced track tokyo from tomb raider, by a version you hear crowd. It was "remastered" by
tombraiderforums.com.
