Rare/Underrated/Awesome Game Music Soundtracks In Here!
Hello.
It seems this is the last active game music community on the internet that deals with mp3s. I tried to avoid this board for a long time for several reasons but I feel like right now there is no better place to share game music (both ways) than here. Before I regret my decision, I prepared a couple of albums I'd like to share with you.
What can you expect from this thread?
Mostly the CDs that you would have a hard time obtaining, had you ever been looking for them. I've got tons of albums/cds/rips that would generally be considered underrated or unknown. It pains me to see these remain unnoticed. At the same time, I just hate it when people show off their collections but make it difficult to impossible to obtain them.
That said, I won't show off my collection, I don't do trades, I don't take requests.
Still you can rest assured that I won't hesitate to share interesting, new, old, underrated or hard to obtain music.
As this is the first time I start a thread, let's just see how it turns out.
All music is encoded with LAME 3.98.2 to v0. Download links will be encrypted to prevent them from going down.

Update #3 IZUMO Zero Original Sound Track (PYON-MO, Yuko Anzai)

Studio e.go's famous RPG series (aside from Men at Work!) has always guaranteed a great soundtrack. The BGM team consisted of their in-house composer PYON-MO and Yuko Anzai, a composer who primarily worked on PC-98 games in her career. IZUMO Zero is a PC RPG and I've not seen the soundtrack shared anywhere so far. I believe it was only sold at a past Comiket and then became a collector's item in second hand stores. Anybody who likes oldschool RPG music, traditional Japanese music and both of it mixed together should check this out.

Update #4 Wanko & Lily Soundtrack ~Especially for you~ (Hijiri Anze)

Wanko & Lily is a strange name for a game (Wanko is a strange name in general), as always this gives you no clue about the beautiful music. Being Hijiri Anze's most valued work I regularly see this on YJA for around 20,000 Yen. To tell you the truth, of course it's not worth that much. Still it's one of the most beautiful and relaxing soundtracks of recent times. There are no RPG battle themes or fast paced shooter music, it's happy and relaxing music that succeeds at what it tries to achieve: putting you in a good mood.

Update #5 Figurehead Original Soundtrack (Koji Hayama)

Koji Hayama is one notable person in the history of game music. The Cho Aniki series, Gran Chaser, Front Mission 3, and a guest arranger on tons of arrange albums, you can find his name everywhere. Figurehead is a PC game from 2007 and while it might not be his best work, it's at least recent. And it's the first full new OST he composed since 2004 to my knowledge.

Update #6 A Witch's Tale Original Sound Track (Sara Sakurai)

A Witch's Tale was released last week in the US, so some of you may have heard of it. The OST has been out since June but never appeared on the net. I went ahead and bought it, because the NDS music samples left a strong impression. It's exactly what you'd expect from a Witch RPG, highlights being Loue's Theme, Get Serious! and Wonderland Queen.

Update #7 Moenikki Game Rip (Hiroki Kikuta)

The last Puzzlebox game Hiroki Kikuta worked on only received a vocal CD and was unfortunately skipped in his latest series of works releases. Here's your chance to listen to the BGM.

Update #8 ReNN Sound Disc (Syun Nishigaki)

SYUN has been with Topcat for 12 years now and I think his music for this company really outshines his Capcom works, though the style of music is entirely different.
