Here is (I hope) a proper rip of Sega Rally 2 Dreamcast.



From the info file:

For this rip, I have took my sources from both dreamcast's japanese and european versions, since there was some little differences (US version should be pretty closer to the european one).
For the common jap/eur tracks (see tracks filenames details: jp/eu), I prefered the european ones since the japanese tracks do not start quickly (1.5sec delayed)


Tracks are provided in they original samplerate (44100 for CDDA and WAVs in misc folder, 22050 for voices) and haven't been retouched (no adding fades, no volume change)


If not flac, they have been compressed to mp3 using Lame 3.98.2, with the following commandline:
-b 32 -m j -h -p -V 0 -F -q 0 --priority 2


There are 4 virtual CDs (I tried to make the tracks order into something relevant):

CD1 (1x--): Musical CD (from CDDA and 4 wav's musics from the \misc\ folder)
CD2 (2x--): Optional: Japanese voices from the japanese version (from the \bgm\ folder)
CD3 (3x--): Optional: English voices from the european version (from the \bgm\ folder)
CD4 (4x--): Optional: CDDA voices advertises and an void(?) track from the japanese version.

For my part, I'm listening only the first CD :p
I'm providing the 3 other CDs only in the case that some people enough crazy of Sega Rally will want them too ;)


Note that the provided cover is a custom one, based from the japanese dreamcast cover.

Unfortunately, the sounds files are archived into some big files. It should not be hard to make a little extraction tool, but it is not a priority to me ^^;

I've downloaded this soundtrack but I removed my second harddisk after my PC reinstall (I have 2 harddisks, the SR2 soundtracks are stored there). So, for the sake of SR2 Music fans, would you like to re-upload it?

I found out that SR2 soundtracks are also available on http://www.fastfeetmedia.net/downloads/category.php?id=374. But one problem though, they have no Drive Me Mad (Selection Theme), RATIO911, King of Island, Main Menu theme and Ignition '98 Selection Theme.
