I was reading around the internet when I stumbled on this picture. I guess we will be seeing another Persona 3..... for the PSP

HAHA male Elizabeth!

Atlus just isn't quite done with remaking Persona 3. A new issue of Famitsu has hit Japanese newsstands and one of the most notable entries is an advertisement for Persona 3: Portable. While details are slim, the ad prominently shows a new female character standing aside the nameless main character of Persona 3 and Persona 3: FES.

The ad proclaims the game will be available on November 1st, which, honestly, seems rather sudden. (No Q1 slump for Japan?) If it follows the model of the PSP port of the original Persona, we're bound to see a ton of extras remixed into the game.
Joystiq (http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/18/persona-3-coming-to-psp-with-new-female-character/)

and as we all (should) know the first Persona game will be coming out to PSP next month on the 22th. It will come with a 2-disk soundtrack if you pre-order it.

Happy gaming!

Remember the PSP GO (which doesn't use any UMDs) comes out in October 1st in the US. It's probably downloadable but I wonder how much. :/

I guess they are still selling the PSPs for a while if they think GO is going to be expensive. I can't wait for this game though. She's kinda cute. ^_^

Dunno why it seems so 'sudden', since the program for P3 (Persona 3) was already made, it shouldn't be difficult to add more stuff to it... well, that's what I think.

---

The Persona PSP game OST is somewhere on this site. Sad to say, I liked the original music to it...

yeah, i think that too, it will be the same game with more stuffs (but hey, i love P3). I dont think the game will be exclusive for the PSP Go, there are a lot of owners of the old vesion of trhe console.

People are speculating that it will be the same game, only difference is that you can play as that girl instead of Minato. Kind of like Harvest Moon where you can choose boy or girl as the protagonist.

Remember the PSP GO

Yeah, Persona will be the first to go as download and UMD. So no worries if you get a PSPGo... I guess.

what amased me is the number of games that came out (and will came) one after another in a same year. I mean Devil Survivor, Persona , Strange Journey and now this one, but for me is great

since this is an atlus thread:

i hope they somehow port snowbow kids 2 PLUS from the psx.
the n64 version and snowbow kids 2 are fun, but they dont have my favorite character: pamela.
this is the only game i have ever pirated for the psx, since it wasnt released outside japan.

Didn't the 64 version have Jack Frost as a playable character?

probably, never finished either of them.
i was extremely busy playing PLUS on an emulator.

Needs more Persona 2: Part 1 & Part 2.

:D

But, maybe a P3 port wouldn't be so bad.

I own every NTSC release of the Persona series, and almost all of the SMT games.

How many Megami Tensei games were there? It has to be close to 20.

Are we counting re-releases, non-NTSC & offshoots?

I was thinking originals. Maybe we could count... lets say Persona 3 and Persona 3 FES as two different games.

Maken X is Megami Tensei right? I still HAVE NOT beaten that game (PS2 or DC).

Why would you do that?
P3:FES is more of an expansion package.

I'd be on the fence for that.
It's more like 'a game that's done in the same art style'.

Count it differently? Isn't it a different UPC code... err what do you call those now-a-days.

Yeah Maken X is Megami Tensei...
- on DC it's 1st person
- on PS3 it's 3rd person

---

Kinda like (for example)... there's only 4 (or 3) "true" Lunar games out there, but do we really count one for each system? That's kinda how I was thinking... sorta.

---

Geez. I just realized this is an Atlus thread too...
- I really didn't like the game 'Steal Princess'...
- I hope "Class of Heroes 2" comes over...
- Can't wait for Luminous Arc 3...

I know it was a different release, I just don't count is as a 'stand-alone' game.
No more than I do 'StarCraft: Brood Wars'.
But, I do understand what you're trying to say.

Okay, that makes sense, I just never counted it because it doesn't have SMT or MegaTen or ect in the title.
Sort of like how 'Vagrant Story' & 'Final Fantasy Tactics' w/in the same universe.

Yeah, 'Steal Princess' disappointed me.
I was expecting a LOT more.

Same for me on LA3, not so much on CoH2.
The first didn't really 'catch' me.

I'm hoping for another SMT: Persona port.
SMT: Persona Portable was a great addition to the PSP library of games.
I'm hoping P2:Part 1 & P2:Part 2 will get released as well.

Persona 3 Portable is already green lit, so I'm hoping that it's a sign of things to come.

I also want a proper SMT game on the PS3.
I'm happy the NDS is getting loads of Atlus love, but I need my HD SMT soon.

I want a proper HD SMT game too, but with the Grinding aspect reduced...

Well, Atlus is making a new game that is kind of blowing my mind, but I don't think it's the kind of MegaTen game people are expecting... Not that that's a bad thing, though. I liked very few games in this series.

Yeah, I knew about that one, it appears to be a Visual-Novel mixed with some action-adventure stuff...
It's an interesting title, we can't deny that...
