Is there anyone out there that loves all of the Ace Attorney games?
Yes. Probably the greatest series of all time, imo. Silent Hill gives it a hell of a run for its money, though.

I didn't think much of the Silent Hill games. How does it give the Ace Attorney series a run for it's money?
I'm a fanboy of both. Pretty simple logic, really.

Fair enough. Can't argue with that. Have you got all the Ace Attorney games? If you have, which is your favourite?
Yep. As a whole piece, nothing tops Trials and Tribulations, for me. My individual favorite case is 2-4.
I'm assuming you've played them all. If you have, let me know, I'll put a spoiler tag in the title of the thread so people can talk freely w/o having to use individual spoiler tags.

PS: sorry for my bad english
From what I've see today your english is fantastic. In fact, it's better than a fair few of our native-english speaking users :D

Which one is your favourite?
My favourite is Trials and Tribulations. Especially at the end.
I'll copypasta my Top 10s from Court Records. It's as good a starting place for discussion as any, after asking favorite case.
Favorite
1.) Edgeworth--my favorite character in ANY medium, hands down, no contest.
2.) Maya--She's amazingly sweet and goofy, and when you consider how much loss she has gone through, you can't help but love her for not only her personality, but her infinite strength.
3.) Adrian Andrews--Complex and insanely developed. I know a thing or two about co-dependency, and I empathize with her so much. She's even funny when all is said and done.
4.) Phoenix--it's easy to take him for granted when you're playing as him, but when you finally get to see what he's become face to face in AJ? Oh man. Just, oh man. When him and Edgeworth lock horns the world trembles.
5.) Gumshoe--Bumbling but lovable, Gumshoe wins every heart he has the chance to touch.
6.) Godot--A legend of a man, in all respects.
7.) Vera Misham--Just want to protect her from the world ;_;;
8.) Lotta Hart--She's crazy, and I like crazy.
9.) Will Powers--He needs a hug, and I'd gladly be the one to give it to him.
10.) Franziska von Karma--screw the rules, she has green hair~
Least Favorite
1.) Damon Gant--Usually, I love people who play their role this well. Still, somehow, all I can ever muster up for him is contempt.
2.) Dahlia Hawthorne--See above.
3.) Ini Miney--I just can't bring myself to care about anyone that hurts Maya.
4.) Morgan Fey--See above.
5.) Kristoph Gavin--I swear to you, I do love some villians. Engarde, Tigre, Atmey, Daryan, and Wellington top the list.
6.) Spark Brushel--Oh where that toothbrush needs to be shoved!
7.) Mike Meekins--Ugh. Just Ugh.
8.) Bellboy--he doesn't even have a name.
9.) Bruce Goodman--basically nothing to him.
10.) Cindy Stone--See Above
Obviously this was hard both ways. Way too many characters that I love and the least favs had to be filled out by the characters that are paper thin. Such is life.

I suppose court records is a good place to chat about Ace Attorney, but I thought this place is just as good, if not better. At least here, I can go onto any topic and chat about that.
I don't have any favourite bits or least favourite bits, but the thing that got on my nerves is where they don't mention anything of the 5th case on the first Phoenix Wright until Apollo Justice.
really? thanks:D

Really!? I thought it would be released at the same time seeing as we're all part of the EU.
Because it isn't technically canon for the Phoenix Arc. The stuff that contradicts isn't hard to just brush off, though. Mainly, it's Edgeworth saying he hasn't been in a courtroom since his trial. Ashes has him playing prosecution.
Nothing huge, but the that's the reason. Ashes was added to the first game when it was localized. Well, when it was modded into a DS game from the original GBA cart, at any rate.

I suppose, but they should've thought about that really. I'm just wondering if it will be sort of metioned in the new game, seeing how the first case is in the prosecutors lobby.
Well, when they made the first game they really weren't thinking about making sequels. Same with all series. This is pretty much the same thing. They didn't think about having touch screen technology when they originally released the series.
The opportunity coincided with the switch-over. But, you're right, that is a damn good question.
You know I love you, IDX :-* Order must be preserved, though ;)

As long as it is exactly like the game. Or they could do it in between Trials and Tribulations and Apollo Justice. That's seven years that we hardly know what's gone on in his life, bar him looking for evidence against Kristoph Gavin.

yeah, imagine if they decide to give Phoenix superpowers.
Phoenix: Oh no, the world is in danger, this is a job for :objection: man

I like it. Lol.
P. Head would lack purpose if he didn't have the opportunity to punish me for such things~
Which is why you should repent! You have sinned, sir!
These wounds will not heal. The sin always grows back :D

or an anime
Alright, let's talk about the end of 1-5.
The first rule of evidence law states that no evidence can be presented that isn't authorized by the police.
I always figured this was one of the reasons Phoenix waited so long to present the leather scrap. Yes, Gant made it relevant to the case at hand (the second rule of evidence law) by saying he cut it from Marshall's vest, but he also authorized it when he said "BRING IT OUT, WRIGHT, I KNOW YOU HAVE IT."
So, he was totally legalizing it as evidence, yet the game only plays up the fact that he made it relevant to the case.
My main question is, why is Wright allowed to present an absolute TON of evidence that he finds on his own? Yes, on a technicality, Gumshoe is around occasionally and you can argue that he authorizes it by agreeing with Phoenix about its significance. Though, most times, it's just Phoenix and [insert underage female companion] who find evidence and then suddenly spring it on [insert badass prosecutor].
Sure, it's fantasy and doesn't matter, ultimately, but it made me think about how much Phoenix ignores evidence law.
It's nice that they deal with evidence law at all in the series, and the trial system commentary in 4-4 is pretty great as well.

I think it's best to imagine 1-5 in a vacuum, sort of. I'm not making the "1-5 is non-canon" argument, but the creators didn't have that in mind when they made any of the first three games. To be honest I can't think of an in-universe way to justify it, only "the writers flubbed".
It feels like the courtroom is its own little microcosm, for the Phoenix Arc, and definitely part of AJ. Evidence gets presented and as long as the guilty party confesses, everything else is overlooked. Still, like I said, it's fantasy with an emphasis on the hyperbole, which is part of what makes it endearing.
I don't like to consider 1-5 canon, but if you overlook a few small things it fits in fine. My reasons for it not being canon aren't exactly super valid, hell they're quite petty/fanboyish. Not sure if I could even innumerate them adequately without looking foolish.
I'm thinking it wasn't so much a mistake as it was them wanting to use a plot point as yet unaddressed. Of course it casts doubt on much of the series, but what are we gonna do?
