I wanted to advertise something in my signature, but every time I try to edit and put it in, I get an error.

What I'm putting there is this:

The Official Kingdom Hearts (Music) Rumble (Thread 68079) has started! Participate now!!

and the error I get is a white screen with this message (I get it when clicking Save OR Preview):

Fatal error: Using $this when not in object context in /home/forums/public_html/includes/class_upload.php on line 402

But I'm pretty sure I've seen plenty of LINKS in sigs before, here, and that's the only thing I'm adding, so why the deuce isn't it letting me?

yes, i was taking advantage of the opportunity to advertise it, but what can i do when my sig fails?

Not sure - Zak, but here's an idea. If you're currently trying to implement the link using HTML, try implementing it using BBCode instead. Or vice versa. If it still doesn't work, report back here.

I AM using BB Code. I'm using, without the spaces, [ url = (insert url here) ] insert link-words here [ / url ].

How do I do it the other way?

Type it like this, except use greater than and less than signs instead of brackets:

Kingdom Hearts Rumble

If that still doesn't work, this could be a problem related to the forum upgrade and I recommend posting about it here (Thread 68139).
