i havent downloaded and listened to it yet but i would assume that that is what happens when you rip the music using a program to load the rom from.

better to just use a line in to line plug. plug it into the ds and the other end to your pc's speaker port and use audacity to record the music

I was wondering if this rip contains all of the tracks (most importantly the Xion battle/death themes) I finally heard the song and it is in deed a beautiful piece.

I wasn't happy with the track order, and while trying to determine the order I want, I found a few songs missing, likely because all of them appear during cutscenes and nowhere else. They are Treasured Memories (played during Snarled Memories, from KH soundtrack), Face It! (played during Xion's Capture, from Re:CoM), Kairi III (played during Xion and Riku, from KH), Disquieting (played during Mickey and Riku-Ansem, from CoM), and The Promise (played during Xion and Axel Face Off).

All of them but one can be found on the Kingdom Hearts and Re:Chain of Memories soundtracks. However, The Promise is the song playing in the background on the official 358/2 Days site, and I was able to sniff out its location using Firefox's "Embedded Objects" extension. For anyone looking to add the final missing song to their Kingdom Hearts soundtrack, it can be downloaded here: http://na.square-enix.com/khdays/thepromise.mp3

I'm not active enough in the Kingdom Hearts community to even begin to know where else to post this. In fact, the reason I chose to post it here is because this is where I happened to find the game rip. So if anyone knows of a better place to share this, please do!

In case anyone's interested, I finished re-ordering the tracks based on which day each song first appeared on, similar to how the Kingdom Hearts OST was ordered. I did bump Sinister Sundown up in the order by two songs to put it next to Lazy Afternoons, and I chose where to put the two mission mode songs based on the first day you're able to collect Ordeal Badges. I hope some of you find this helpful!
