I just got them and will post them eventually. Just some thoughts about it:

I ripped the music from the game, most of the tracks are encoded with 160kBit/s MP3, few are 256kBit/s. Not tagged, filenames unknown.
The tracks on the limited edition soundtrack are all encoded with 160kBit/s. Not tagged but named.

Some tracks in the game are a montage of different cues from the limited edition. This is why the amount of tracks is different. Speaking of,
the limited edition has 60 tracks, 102:08 minutes. Those tracks are all featured in the gamerip in 47 tracks, 102:43 minutes.

Also, and now there is the interesting part, the gamerip has 23 additonal tracks, I couldn't find on the limited edition soundtrack. Length: 48:25 minutes.

The downside is, that the MP3s from the game are not tagged, so there won't be track titles for those cues, as long someone is able to view the game archive. I used a tool not preserving those filenames. The archive format the game uses is different from its predecessor Anno 1701, so the extractor available for this doesn't work with the new game.

I am not really sure if those 23 tracks are completely unreleased or if they are edited versions from existing cues. I think, I will post the whole stuff and you decide for yourself. If more people are involved, I guess we have a much quicker answer.

By the way: since the limited edition has no track numbers, I will order them as they were stored in the game.

I would be very glad if you could write down the titles of the music in the limited edition bonus dvd.

It's important: preserve the exact titles & order you find on the disc, do not try to rename these or order them to match anything.

The purpose of this is of course to contribute the "official" content & tracklisting for vgmdb.

Note: All filenames are exact, if you find some strange segments (Monastry, honored<=>honoured, space between name and extension...), it's no mistake by me, they really named the tracks that way.

bumping cause i have a few questions regarding the files you are offering..

Did you rip yourself all the files from the game? (including the ones you say are from the limited edition bonus dvd?)
Also..since you don't own that limited edition, how do you know about the original track titles ?

I ask this cause some files from the bonus dvd you provide are in 256 Kbps.. while you say they are normally all in 160... ?

Did you replace some of the original 160 by ones you ripped?

I ripped the files from the game myself. I found someone who bought the limited edition and sent me the tracks.

Since those files were not tagged, I converted the filenames (crowned_king_VAR.mp3) to their respective track titles (Crowned King (Variation).mp3) and tagged them.

On the limited edition soundtrack, the files all had 160 Kbps. In the game, they stored some files with a better quality (256 Kpbs). For the album I posted here, I used the limited edition tracks (they had a slightly bigger size, 4 byte or so). Just for those two cases, where the game had a higher bitrate, I used them instead. So yes, I replaced the 160 Kbps files in those two cases.


Any chance to have the real real original files ?
Not anymore. Just head over to youtube, look for a music track from the game und you will find lots of comments of people, who claim to have the limited edition and asking themselves, if they should upload it to youtube. Just ask someone of them, if he sends you the tracks - so I did.
