I have these game OSTs and rips (below). I`m looking for more INSTRUMENTALS in the following styles:
- rock / metal;
- industrial (sometimes it`s a lot more driving, well simply rocking than so called "rock" music itself);
- brakebeat;
- techno;
- electronic(a), especially its cyberpunk sub-genre;
- orchestral / electronic;
- well basically any standalone music tracks, not even necessarily whole soundtracks or greater parts of them at least since I`m not picky regarding such matters at all. I may love (and there`s multitude of true-story examples of such titles) some massive, prolonged and the most varied soundtracks which have at least a single track that appears as written just for me. Surely bigger amount of awesome tracks never hurts nevertheless I wouldn`t mind having some specific tracks from overall “not-my-cup-of-tea-obviously” kind of accompaniments composed for any visual media either. So since an amount of compositions I enjoy never happens to be the main factor for me even the most “scattered” recommendations of standalone tracks are always appreciated!
And basically all those genres and entire styles listed above don`t even represent the whole matter thoroughly! Just any musical piece with some electro guitar riffs, the more the better and the more “badass” the better but anything goes as long as the track itself serves good, have lots of opportunities to enter my musical pantheon! That and unspecified list of music origins broadens my search limitations even further thus making it a whole world of potentially delicious music I have not yet discovered unfortunately.

You can read my list under a spoiler for not recommending soundtracks I have already. My best ones are underlined to give you an example of what soundtrack has a priority for me. Most sections of the list (only the last and the biggest one doesn`t have any since it`s not direction this forum is taking anyway so I don`t see anyone downloading music which is most definitely not soundtrack to any kind of visual media from here) have the following tags used throughout them:

(Ripped) means I got music scanning or opening archives IE ripped it on my own or with some advice. Usually it`s complete with pointing out from what exact version it was ripped. Notice that all the exclusives of their respective platforms don`t have such details and are simply stated to be (ripped) ones. Not only I`m too lazy for that but in such cases it wouldn`t make sense to indicate the platform it was ripped from (as it`s the only one the game is available on!) anyway.
(Recorded) means my own line-in gamerip.
(Openly) means music was originally in standalone form of files encoded in some widely-known sound format / codec, in other words the one which doesn`t require any significant effort to make them play (think OGG Vorbis, MPEG Audio layer 2-3, (AD)PCM Wave, Windows media audio, etc.) and situated in some game directory, I mean the most typical file folder which doesn`t have anyone apply much of an effort to actually access them. I also felt appropriate to put such a tag on games using sequenced / tracker music in addition to that aforementioned yet not quite complete list of the most standard lossy and even lossless audio codecs. The latter (IE list) was compiled from a number of formats usually and routinely used for storing sound data basically everywhere, outside of games at least.
If you`re wondering why I supposed it being so necessary to separate such games from (most) other (ripped) ones… Of course 99% of other people would call any sound files coming from game sources “ripped” ones but somehow when inventing such personal tags years ago I really wanted to separate the titles which truly put you in need for making something to obtain ripped VGM from the ones providing you their music on a plate, so called “openly”. That old classification still serves quite well, by the likes of it at least as it seems to me.
(Else) means I`ve never even approached the respective game, not to say attempted to rip it with my own efforts / someone`s helpful advices but simply got its music, no matter if that was rip or an official release. Not from Galbadia hotel or FFShrine forums though.
No brackets at all mean I got a soundtrack from here, either these exact forums or GH. Here also go the ones which I downloaded somewhere else but they were revealed to be reposts of material which originated from here. Oppositely stuff that came from somewhere else but ended up getting reposted here after all goes in this sub-division as well.

You can request some particular soundtrack(s) from my list to be uploaded. You`re free to ask about (ripped), (recorded), (openly) or (else) ones but if you see no brackets near the game`s name then just search for it here using our forums internal search function (http://forums.ffshrine.org/search.php) or at Galbadia hotel (http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks). Keep in mind however that it would never hurt to try searching even for soundtracks tagged as (ELSE) here beforehand. I could easily grab a thing or two from other community / site and forget about it entirely, not to mention start monitoring it on FFS forums or at (not updated for years now but anyway) GH to finally delete a tag right after a VG / movie title as it`s accessible from our forums.

So here it is, feel free to use it and I`d even be eternally grateful if any of you whom I helped out anyhow recommended me a soundtrack or two to keep this stack of great music growing and not stagnating to a slightest extent! This was the very purpose of this thread in the beginning of times after all.

How do you call "Death track - resurrection" OST? According to all game reviews and some of your words, it`s ?electronic? Am I so incompetent to say that some tracks (not even nearly all, but I don`t care about their number, that`s why I loved Voltage for one rock track out of 12-15 pure electronic) are "industrial metal"? I thought I`ve been living on the border of Europe and I am getting everything a long time after the West does but...? I understand why we got Battle rage 6 months before US and EU did - we are much closer to Poland then they are, but Voltage was released officially in the 26th of October, 2008. Kreed - in the summer of the 2003.

I think he means the game was ripped. Like portable. Not the soundtrack.

A gamerip (game) not gamerip (soundtrack). Scene releases with smaller sizes than the iso's.

"Ripped" means that I had to scan game files or record sound while game`s running. "Openly in a folder" means that the music is accessed as audio files in some directories of game.

To JSSJR90 - I have "Celebrat", "Challeng", "Gameover", "Scorcher", "Title", "Vapour", "Waveripp" for World race, at least .mib and .mih files I ripped them from were called like that. For Beat that - all 6 rock tracks and 1 electronic out of 4 like this one. For Stunt track challenge - two versions of "Title" and "Spider", 5 tracks from VelocityX. I save only styles mentioned in the 1st post and many games after ripping are gone so I can`t redo it. If you don`t want these, you can scan for .ogg in the biggest "Beat that" file (don`t remember the name). Also,

My upcoming friend! I don`t want to offend you but why did you do this classification? I`m horrified about this mix of terms and actual music which don`t coincide. How do I now look for my music in reviews of games or OSTs after that? I know OSTs sites where reviews and even instrumental descriptions (this is how I found one Ace combat game without which I didn`t know about existion of these series) can be found and I have read them all, so it means I could skip some?
Well, any other users - join us in a discussion! I`m especially interested is there more rock from strategies cause they have orchestral so strongly attached to their stereotype... Even "mature" ones - Warhammer Dawn of war2, for example - has gibs and blood, like I read, but OST is orchestral like in all games of these series. But too more "wide auditory of players" Emperor - Battle for Dune has it for some reason.
Also - orchestration of shooters, a goldmine in some old days, is increasing every day. The more it`s bloody and mature in all ways the less chances it has to get to my collection. Does searching in them have some sense now or are they all fallen after damn siege of ordinarity? Even massively-multiplayer games like UT3, Burn or Alien arena (and Huxley, like I read in description of one its video) have no one rock track now. You can count action games I have and see: the more modern they are the less games for this year I have.

Well I played these games a long time ago, I don't remember every single track, might have missed one or two genres. I haven't actually played Obscure 2, I was kind of guessing the genre there as most survival horror games utilize ambient (Silent Hill excluded).

Well, first three tracks (http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/572) can be referred to electronic rock, but I thought country is just a sub-genre of pure rock (I mean without electronic or orchestra). Jet set radio (http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/375) has 6 and 10 tracks of rock but all album is vocal, including all other tracks which are "pure electronic".
I don`t definetely know what is break-beat or electro, I just remembered them after got some good OSTs in these styles - at least, in styles mentioned in a description). So let`s describe it like this:
I look for rock OSTs or ones that have electroguitars anyway included (included in orchestral track, chorus orchestral, electronic or any other sub-genre).

Some games mix it up well while others literally put one song on loop, (and it's not even that long). Game music should be about creating an experience, much like going to a movie, with multiple feelings/emotions planned out with the music.

I never let down any games with a huge intention of unloved styles if their rock part is fine or not bad at least. For example, Chrome 1 has approximately 5% of its music in my collection. But look at its colour in my list!
Why am I looking for it in games? Cause it`s a HUGE source.

Even the most tough action films, and especially the most famous and expensive ones don`t have what I like (through I saw just a few in my life), the ones mentioned in this thread (http://www.forums.ffshrine.org/showthread.php?t=60907) have just a few (1 in Shoot`em up!, 7 in Iron man & max3 in Death race(2008)), and even these are so colourless and standard! I don`t mention that they`re light, that some of them have a lot more continuance of "pure electronic" (Death race) or "pure orchestral" (Iron man) then guitar play in a soundtracks, that some of them have a disadvantage of game FMVs: putting in a long and soft indistinct play of ambient just to start something intensive in time of finishing a characters hard conversation, for example (these arrangements, if I`m not mistaken, take their part even in games). That`s why films OSTs are attached to actions and scenery, which never unleash it. That`s why they`re not individual and free creations in many cases.

What are other possible sources? Theren`t more than movies or games OSTs discussion on FFS, in some organised order at least.

I don`t think that`s going to work. You have to install 7zip which is not only completely free (while WinRAR is shareware) but also provides much greater compression at the highest compression level that its mentioned counterpart.

Have you seen the streamed rip thread (Thread 80665)? That`s where I got it from. It`s not a problem for me to upload my own rip but there will be less than 134 tracks that complete gamerip features. And you can do such rip yourself thanks to Alpha23 who didn`t make everyone use command line to decode the files and included a batch file for semi-automatic convertion!
Or look here (Thread 81415): it`s the same rip but tagged and converted to 320kbps MP3s. Case zero doesn`t contain a single music piece that is not also present in DR2 so I hope that you`re going to be satisfied.

I'm no music savant, but I would call the Harkonnen music from Emperor: Battle For Dune also metal.
Industrial metal, to be precise. With mixed elements of eletronic, I suppose? Well, most game music we can't really break down to one genre without neglecting others. Unlike "normal" mainstream music, game music tends to be mixed rather than pure in genre. But you're aware of this, I'm sure.
In any case, I'd have agreed with him. Only the Harkonnen tracks - the Atreides ones are... well, electronic-orchestral is what I can think of. The Ordos ones are mostly electronic, industrial, with DnB elements, I think is correct to say.
Of course it should be said the Harkonnen tracks are more ambient than regular metal, whereas some other games have it less so, such as Painkiller. I imagine you liked this one if you are into metal; some of the most heard tracks in the game had a fast-paced rythm.

Anyhow, right or wrong, there's something I wish to ask also. About the music for StarCraft: Ghost, which I never knew was released. I read the other's post about samples of it being posted on some composer's website. Are these what you have? If not, if you have something more than samples, would you care to share?

To ghoulies: Tekken 2 (http://psf.joshw.info/t/Tekken%202%20(1996)(Namco)%5bStreams%5d.zip) & 3 (http://psf.joshw.info/t/Tekken%203%20(1998)(Namco)%5bStreams%5d.zip). These are original PSX streams which should be playable with vgmstream. Both streams and plugin are provided by HCS64.

How to install the vgmstream plugin for Winamp:
I noticed that many users here don't know how to install the vgmstream plugin, so here's a little guide.
1. download the plugin (Index of /files/vgmstream (http://hcs64.com/files/vgmstream/)) and extract the in_vgmstream.dll to you Winamp plugins folder (e.g. C:\Programs\Winamp\Plugins)
2. download the external dll files (http://hcs64.com/files/vgmstream_external_dlls.zip) and extract them to a path where Windows can find them (C:\Windows for Win 7 and C:\Windows\System32 for Win XP)
3. restart Winamp. If no message pops up, you have installed the plugin properly

How to decode source files to uncompressed wave files (for re-encoding):
Best and easiest way is with the DiscWriter plugin for Winamp. Here are some screens that will help:

Afterwards, just "play" the files you want to decode.

Anyways there`re other rips like O.J Simdicks edited one (converted from the mentioned X360 files and mixed up to longer tracks) or RadeonX1950 unedited rip of PC version (MP2 format).

Nightmare Creatures I & II – well I have saved only boss tracks from the 1st game and videos tracks from the 2nd one and links in Alpha23`s streamed VGM thread are now dead. I know that HCS64 ripped Nightmare creatures2 ( http://dsf.joshw.info/n/Nightmare%20Creatures%20II%20(2000)(Kalisto)(Konam i)%5bDSF%5d.zip ) too (XM tracker format) but his rip misses videos music…

Well... on StarCraft, I heard out the samples on the site and I got pretty disinterested in the whole of it. Didn't sound like anything special. Though I know a lot of appreciation for VGM comes from having heard them time and time again whilst playing and being immersed in a game, I still think those samples weren't nearly good enough to be complementing a Blizzard title. But then, it only goes in tandem with the overall project; they just might've been spot on in canceling the game, it does seem like it would've been a big fumble - even if good, it would have lowered Blizzard's standards.

I see you've ripped Yakuza 3, do you think you could upload it please? There are a few pre-battle tracks that were never included on the official OST.

What I have is custom rip and by custom I mean that I felt free to exclude any tracks I didn`t want to keep (although I have seemingly saved majority of them as there`re currently 27 tracks in my possession) and convert them to OGG. If all this doesn`t make you excited much then you can always rip it yourself as the game uses typical and well known ADX format and music files are accessible from their respective folder (called "bgm" IIRC).

If everything would be so bright... What I have is originated from complete versions yes (more specifically this (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f72/vgm-legacy-thread-64926/24.html#post1275911) and that one (Thread 83086)) but I have shortened them greatly to suit my whims. From Crackdown 2 for example I have only saved one small piece of Riepl`s contribution and just a single track out of them all lasts for 2 minutes, the remaining 14 short tracks reach 0:43 mark at most as they`re mostly stingers.

But you`re not ultimately desperate in your quest. Alpha23 still has his rip of the 2nd game and even the 1st one which he has never released at least publicly. If only his way of sharing (or trading (Thread 115741) honestly) was acceptable to you you could ask him about these soundtracks.

Unless you are able to listen to guitars, drums & everything else independently thus providing yourself a unique and not ordinary experience. If all that doesn`t sound inspirational to you you can try asking OrangeC if he has ever finished his own rip of the game, quite possibly from X360 version that he uses most of the time. Take in mind that both are incomplete. I got the 1st one from Alpha23 and his rips are only available via RS points trading now. The latter came from HCS tracker but I can`t find it there now. My guess is that if you ask them to find and repost Race-O-Rama rip once more they will be able to. They even seem to have Cars 2 rip made on their own but I have never checked it out as Alpha`s one sufficed my needs.

Alright but there ought to be like 3 200MB-parts (even 4 of them if I include tracks recycled from previous games in the series) if I use MF. If you wouldn`t like to see them on Mediafire just leave a word here and I think about a different host. Almost forgot: do you want music from videos in AA3 format which you can open, listen to and convert with Sony SoundForge? It`s mixed with SFX and sometimes speech so I`m not sure if you can make use of it.

To all: if you know any other hosting service except my default one then tell me where you`d like to download files from. Since I`m not a frequent uploader at all it wouldn`t be a problem to upload to other sites which should be more convenient for users requesting stuff.

Sparking Neo (Japanese BT2) you've shared it before and while it was nice, didn't really surprise me since the series' BGMs sound much better (and the PS2 ones were synthesized not the originals).

BT2 uses WII ADPCM (BRSTM extension), 24KHz for all the tracks except Opening/Ending which use 32KHz, 2 channels, 16 bit. The same is valid for PS2 version but frequency of Opening/Ending tracks equals 48KHz there.
And Burst limit is in CRI ADX 4-bit ADPCM (AIX extension), 48KHz, 6 channels (if you convert tracks to something any audio editor recognizes you will find out that the 6th channel always contains nothing else than silence but anyway).

Oh, then just upload the Burst Limit Rip please.

Bummer that I don't have any way of ripping the BT2-RB2 tracks, because I really like BT2's, though if the audio quality isn't decent enough I can't seem to enjoy it or like it.

Can you upload your rip of House of the Dead Overkill? Music is great from that game!

I can but it doesn`t have such nice tagging as that made by (formerly) demon2warrior, now known under a strange name of !!!!!. Also it`s quite a big rip (like 4 200-MB parts) but only if you want it in original ADPCM variation used for that and multiple other games on WII platform. You will need vgmstream plugin for playing tracks back though but if that word doesn`t tell you anything I can convert them to MP3, FLAC (take in mind that quality isn`t lossless in the 1st place anyways) or anything else you`re familiar with. And the last not the least: think about it as rip done by HCS64, the team behind aforementioned vgmstream library, my part of "ripping " merely consisted of converting songs to a common lossy format I use and not without help of their plugin of course.

ok thats fine, just have them converted to MP3 and I'll try to tag them myself. I assume there are tracks which are not included on the OST? If so then it may be troublesome because I do not have the game myself. I might have to watch playthru's should that be the case.

I have kind of "standard version" consisting of stereo files with guitars/drums/everything else mixed but it`s encoded in OGG Vorbis since this is my codec of choice. Do you know how to make stereo MP3s out of given layers (3 per track) with an audio editor? If you`re completely lost in such matter I can mix them into stereo (or even combine into 6 channel files), encode in MP3, upload and post them here especially for you. And if you want movies too just tell me, however I`m not too sure that you really need them as there`re SFX scattered throughout them.

Are you content with encoding them to q2.0 (~ 96 kbps)? Encoding a mix of three 96 kbps MP3s into max quality (q10.0 for Vorbis, it`s around 500 kbps) would definitely be a waste of space and more importantly bandwidth but if you don`t want to mix those LQ MP3s yourself (and not download anything at all by the way) I can encode them in OGG files of any quality you desire.

Actually multitrack it's not a problem since we got Audacity and i can do mix by myself even with FL studio, but i am not very good with right settings and i believe you will do this much better. Could you do mix with format you like and thinking it would be better for me or anyone else. Thank you.

I simply didn`t recognize this track after the first listen but good thing is that my previous assumption that it`s missing from my own rip has been proven to be incorrect. If you want this track pre-encoded in MP3 (but its bitrate is just 80 kbps unfortunately) as it was in version for another platform then just tell me.

If you`re using Winamp then Disk writer plugin is required for such task, search for it among your "output plugins", maybe you have it already. And of course you can also use test.exe which comes with vgmstream DLL instead but it`s a command-line tool.

While Alpha23`s PSP streamed rip, the one my own one is based on is currently unavailable unless you ask him about resharing it in person there`s still a similar rip made by Knurek of HCS64 ripper team and hosted on JoshW mediums, get from here (http://psp.joshw.info/b/Bounty%20Hounds%20(2006-09-13)(Xpec)(Bandai%20Namco).7z). You`ll need quickBMS with its "AT3+ to AA3" script to make Sony Sound forge compatible files out of original AT3 ones though. OMA files coming from demultiplexed videos can be opened straight away with SF as well. That might appear a bit too unusual and even special to persons who never handled such affairs but if you do it that way you`ll be rewarded with audio tracks which`re not edited and transcoded at all as opposed to most MP3, OGG or even FLAC rips on these forums.

Your best bet in such a case is to head to Alpha23`s VGMPP (Thread 119745) and request the full thing from him there as it was actually his streamed rip which I used for making my own custom one. In the latter case I don`t really have to keep original audio files (for this game they`re in XMA format) like Alpha23 or any other "streamed" rip maker does but have the right to not only convert (and I mean that horrible word: "transcoding!") them to any other lossy yet more common codec that I consider appropriate (Vorbis or MPEG Audio layer for example) but additionally just keep my own custom selection of tracks instead of entire soundtrack including both score and licensed parts.
So that I don`t have those original XMA files anymore plus they`ve been already converted to my personal codec of preference and I don`t see why you should actually prefer my version over his. He should be quick to reshare stuff already ripped and stored on his HDD so go ask him and you`ll most probably get what you want in its entirety.

Since you had definitely been lucky enough to register here years before all that spambot struggling really started and a strictly defined amount of posts + some time stay became mandatory for unlocking PM system you can message an original ripper, Jessie straight away and acquire his own original version which I grabbed almost on release date but as usually neither I didn`t save every single track nor I even intended to do so in the first place. Just as one might possibly guess by simply looking through the posts on the first few pages this thread wasn`t originally meant for offering the soundtracks I have to any visitors and sharing them. All that massive listing which was massively restructured at least two times since its original posting date was initially made just for prevention of recommendations on anything that has already gone through my hands and was met with much, a bit less or not so much appreciation no my side. That`s why I haven`t really been trying and saving even the most complete gamerips or officials when the main purpose of listing all of them down ITT was just for those scarce users who actually go in here and suggest any titles I haven`t tried yet or maybe am not even aware of them.

As for Frank Klepacki solo albums then they were really godsend back in the years between the closest Petroglyph RTS titles, let`s say in a few years separating "End of nations" & "Rise of immortals" from "Universe at war: Earth assault". Those releases starting with Morphscape and currently ending with Viratia had definitely been satisfying my craving for that brand Klepacki`s stuff until some more Petroglyph games had been released.

It might have some tiny and even bigger disadvantages when compared to Alpha23`s one which I originally grabbed from his PSP Frenzy thread many years ago (not a single video demuxed audio track however I can`t tell you now if they were present in that other rip as well; absolute lack of track names while all of them files were most definitely titled in Alpha`s version; finally they`re all in their original Atrac3+ format so that to play them anyhow you`ll have to apply "AT3 to AA3" script to them using QuickBMS for that which routinely adds Sony Sound forge compatible AA3 header to such files thus allowing to open them in SF and not only play them but also edit, (batch-)convert and so on) but I believe that it`s still better than ripping it yourself or even getting nothing at all, isn`t it correct? Especially considering that Alpha might not want to (re)upload anything these days until he finds some reliable and convenient solution for hosting his rips. Of course no one can hold you from trying to ask him right now about somehow transferring his rip, namely "Pursuit Force (2005) PSP" to you but I`m afraid that results will be minimal then. HCS64 team rip (http://psp.joshw.info/p/Pursuit%20Force%20%5bPursuit%20Force%20-%20Daitsuiseki%5d%20(2005-12-07)(BigBig%20Studios)(SCE%20Europe).7z), by Knurek most probably but I can`t be sure about that. It might have some tiny and even bigger disadvantages when compared to Alpha23`s one which I originally grabbed from his PSP Frenzy thread many years ago (not a single video demuxed audio track however I can`t tell you now if they were present in that other rip as well; absolute lack of track names while all of them files were most definitely titled in Alpha`s version; finally they`re all in their original Atrac3+ format so that to play them anyhow you`ll have to apply "AT3 to AA3" script to them using QuickBMS for that which routinely adds Sony Sound forge compatible AA3 header to such files thus allowing to open them in SF and not only play them but also edit, (batch-)convert and so on) but I believe that it`s still better than ripping it yourself or even getting nothing at all, isn`t it correct? Especially considering that Alpha might not want to (re)upload anything these days until he finds some reliable and convenient solution for hosting his rips. Of course no one can hold you from trying to ask him right now about somehow transferring his rip, namely "Pursuit Force (2005) PSP" to you but I`m afraid that results will be minimal then. Well, I've finally gotten Sony SoundForge to work! :) Thanks for the suggestions but I'm going to be using quickbms to decode the at3 to aa3.
Now then, I looked in the Pursuit Force directory and there are files with the .pos extension, one example is MusicPSP_1A.at3.pos. Should I rename those files to get rid of the extension?

POS files as well as SMPLs (the latter ones are some of typical results of that QuickBMS script usage and almost always come along with actual tracks in AA3 format) contain info about looping points in the tracks which may and tend to loop (as you might see not every AT3 / AA3 file has a corresponding POS / SMPL file, some of the shortest tracks / stingers to name a few) that might prove useful when editing those tracks, looping them for example. Unassisted identification of those looping points is not actually that intuitive as one including one of the oldest ripping friends of mine, Kataah can think. He said during one of those obligatory arguments about VGM Legacy methods:

wow internal looping information - man thats hard. Looping is soooo damn hard - maybe for someone who is deaf.
but with such an approach Alpha23 had definitely found wrong looping points when he was making his very first Battlezone (2006) rip, the one posted in long-abandoned Frenzy topic.

Look here`s the deal: while there`s only one version listed I actually looked into both current-gen console ones so I can say that while PS3 one`s audio files are originally MP3-encoded and therefore no need in transcoding them any further at least to play them (like in X360 ver.) is required they have a major disadvantage IE there`re no filenames unfortunately. X360 ver. has all the tracks properly and descriptively named rip by HCS64 team I used for my own custom one is somewhat raw even for a streamed one. I had me to work all the files out to actually make them convertible with towav (my point is that those XMA-encoded tracks ripped from X360 ver. should have been convertible straight away without any actions required from user).

So here`s short results: to post anything close to being complete instead of my "the best of the best" selection plus encoded to OGG I`ll have to either redownload this whole pack (http://x360.joshw.info/c/Call%20of%20Duty%20-%20World%20at%20War%20(2008-11-10)(Treyarch)(Activision).7z), parse its contents to success and full playability and then post XMAs (?) here or I can look through filelist of my long abandoned PS3 rip, finally separate all the music from voices and other SFX and post those untouched MP3s here. Both ways can be quite time-consuming to tell you the truth.

Uploading Ballistics is a bit complicated as I got it off somewhere in some ancient times now covered with darkness of oblivion and I`m not even sure ATM if that version of the soundtrack in question was equal to those currently available elsewhere, on RuTracker (some people seem to be really pushing that site to a list of an average forum user and even trying to move it higher and higher in sources lists of lossless audio collectors) for example. I mean that in case of that gamerip on RuTracker I cannot guarantee that it`s 1:1 to its respective source and hasn`t been transcoded at least once. I looked through uploader`s history and noticed at least one rip which streamed qualities (IE its initial untouched quality, what we mean under a "streamed rip") are pretty questionable (very likely Vorbis to MP3 192 CBR) and at least one plain and simple "lossy to lossy" conversion (Vorbis VBR to MP3 192 CBR once again) which is just obvious to me as I worked with that exact game as well. So you DL his version from there at your own risk or try searching for it in other places...

Files found there might actually be untouched and in original quality considering that tracks in Bandits were also in MP3 192 CBR but it`s just in this specific case as sharer there was found guilty of doing some transcodings in the past.

I thought I had quite a few tracks saved from an original upload posted somewhere here years ago but it still seems to be a pretty tiny portion of what a complete soundtrack should have (I compared mine to this release (http://rutracker.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=36529117)). If you don`t want or even can`t grab it from there for some reason then I can move it to my higher priority list IE DL it from there all by myself, mirror it to let`s say Sendspace and link to that upload here. I have to do it at some indefinite point in the future anyway because of my own mistakes in the past as my initial policy when it comes to VG soundtracks included not only removal of tags which I don`t need or use anyway and also "cleansing" of filenames to make them "more beautiful" (neither underscores nor all lowercases or anything of the like) but even way more harsh and unforgettable treatment of some tracks. However with a sheer amount of soundtracks aggregated on my storage mediums through the past years makes it really hard to choose what to redo first by either reacquiring original game audio ripped by someone else or getting it from the game with your own efforts and I can definitely go ahead and say that TaR is not that kind of an ST although I can hardly remember individual if not most tracks being an exact type of hard-biting industrial I love the most. But as you might guess the last occasion for me to listen to it happened years ago and this ST has probably been entirely (well almost) forgotten because of some strong competition in the same field (Instinct, Universe at war and more).

I can only recommend you continue searching for music (or any specific tracks you`re fond of). There should be 2 or 3 big files per level, maybe they`re all with MPK extension or maybe not, I can`t tell you for sure now but among all the OGG Vorbis files contained in those bigfiles there just have to be ambient, fight & any additional tracks in OGG. I suggest you try scanning with whatever you`re using all the bigfiles corresponding to one select level (IE of your choice) and if you don`t find any (wanted) music among all the extracted OGGs then you should probably change your prog to Extractor 2.5 by Nova software for example. I`d be totally lost if you asked about the most approximate time when I started using it but during all this indefinite yet undisputedly long period it has never let me down and I`m almost sure it was the tool which I used on Dreamkiller and quickly & easily succeeded.

Mostly I use Game Extractor form Watto st., but Extractor 2.5 found more..and music. :)

With a name like this I was expecting you to request anything (at least remotely) wrestling-oriented but that doesn`t matter anyway.
Are you fine with formats like SS2 or XWAV? I can fetch you some currently working links for rips from PS2 and Xbox versions but if you hear about vgmstream for the very first time then you won`t be able to truly appreciate such an offering I guess. Of course I can download the whole thing myself, convert it to MP3 or something but that`ll be transcoding plus you`ll have to explicitly state how many loops you want in the track(s), how long should fadeout be and ultimately you`ll just have to stick to those versions of the tracks converted using the selected options while in vgmstream you can set such things up all by yourself and change them whenever you want (IE not while the track is playing but right before the start of its playback thus you can play any track which has looping points within it with one amount of loops and custom length of fadeout if you even decide to have one and later on easily prolong or oppositely crop all the same track by tweaking the said plugin options).

Just so that you know it beforehand I don`t and have never had a complete ripped version of it although I attempted to rip PS2 port of the said game and even had a music bigfile from it saved on my HDD for years. What I have for quite some time now and that`s what currently stated in OP are some select tracks from Humble brothers` album entitled "Speed" also including a number of tracks from NFS: HP2. I stumbled upon such a release a few years ago and since it appeared to be bigger and more importantly original part of the discussed soundtrack I completely lost any sort of desire to continue bothering myself with actual ripping of the same material from game files or better say struggling to make it sound right. Of course those 7 compositions done by HB don`t cover entire ST or even the score of it (there should definitely be 3 or even 4 significantly prolonged works of Don Veca which one most probably can`t find anywhere except in an actual game music rip) but even knowing that I ultimately abandoned that project of mine as soon as I got those officially released tracks serving as a preview of one side of the game score.

However good news is that I`m almost sure I can redownload not only those 7 tracks but an entire 12-track LP and repost it here surely giving credit to original uploader of it so that I leave it all to you to decide how events should unfold from now on. If undisputed incompleteness of that "kind of an OST" doesn`t scare you off right away and you`re ready to agree to my suggestions that quality given there just might even surpass that of GC & PS2 ADPCM encoded sound files coming from straight from the respective game insides (it`s MP3 vs (most probably) 4-bit ADPCM here, think about it!) I`ll be more than happy to help you with obtaining bits and other cuts from this quite joyful and moving soundtrack.

Keep in mind that this version contains only original layers / multitracks which are to be mixed by an end user.

I have just 4 tracks from it namely Title screen theme, The forest and sea tracks and finally Destroyed streets of the city one and I`l almost 100% sure the only version of this score I`ve tried out was custom rip by Rimo of GF(F) so I was suggesting to try and find him in any way possible. He even has some small Google site apparently dedicated to listing his VGM collection with many details and comments so can even go there. Do you know what GamingForce (forums) is? His personal thread there should be found rather easily and you can access both his projects from there I guess. Anyway you may start with LostVGM.com as his latest one as I`m almost sure its address is exactly this one.

Any chance you could reupload the music mixes (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f72/jbtnd%60s-soundtrack-collection-65263/5.html#post2188894) you done?

Unfortunately it`d be too much of a hassle for me to remake such mixed transcodes then reupping them and I don`t have anything of that sort stored in my VGM collection for quite some time now. You see I switched to keeping sources and natively encoded tracks only so that merely an assortment of MP3s & XMAs remain on my HDD. To be somewhat useful however I may offer you to additionally (?) grab an X360 rip (https://www.mediafire.com/folder/oden3ci1che0j/AnDyAnew) I made this year. Primary format is XMA there so you`ll need to convert them to WAVs anyway just to be able to listen to them. Once you acquired all 3 layers for each composition it`d be pretty easy and quite fast to mix them in an audio editor of your choice and save a resulting track as a standard stereo file (and possibly even choose your preferred codec right there instead of dumping to PCM WAV and then encoding with third-party tools like LAME or OGGEnc2).

I hope I helped you a bit despite my entire answer being a mix of propositions and advice. Bye!

Also for anyone who didn't already know, it appears that there are 4 songs available on Mark Rutherford's site. They're encoded in a much high quality then those featured on the disc.

Hellboy The Science of Evil rip please.

You can hardly find anything better than this (http://psf3.joshw.info/h/Hellboy%20-%20The%20Science%20of%20Evil%20(2008-06-24)(Krome)(Konami).7z) since Kataah`s custom rip is down for ages (maybe I listened to his version for the first time but I`m unsure) and this is way better in terms of quality. VGMstream is all you need to play those back and maybe FSBext (that way you evade some duplicate tracks in FSB containers). Simply extract files of your choice (provided in a 7z archive) with FSBext then add "L" to their extensions (or even "X") and you`re already able to play resulting LWAVs or XWAVs in your beloved multimedia player (augmented with VGMstream of course). Rest assured I can`t help you out with any different variant. Granted some custom soundtracks might still be floating around here but searching for any of those is not of any interest to me since I`m more than satisfied with this streamed set by Bxaimc (?) or someone else from HCS64 crew.

I DLed the former one years ago from A23`s RS folder but pretty likely it`s been mirrored at HCS64 place. As for PT it requires reripping the title as I`ve never even thought about backing up such a minor score. I was surprised to find out how little actual music tracks the game contains when I finished listening through all those OGGs or PCM WAVs scattered among specific level directories. Yeah this is one of the worst known solutions in archiving VG data when there`re no global audiobanks but each map has its own sounds, textures, etc. subfolders. I mean that going through all the sounds used in the game in question needs time and more specifically the right mood to look for tiny snippets of BGMs and ambient club loops and so on. In any case I still have a distributive of it so technically it`s still possible to compile full VGM set. However is it really needed? I can`t write down even half a dozen of real musics (soundtrack2.ogg that`s present in any uploaded rip of the title, Level_08_brooklyn2 ~ sounds ~ Funky1.wav and maybe Level_08_brooklyn2 ~ sounds ~ Funky2.wav... any others except those dance beats for a nightclub mission?). So that I encourage anyone to repeat my endeavor and check out every single Vorbis of Wave file from that weird FPS but personally I don`t have the slightest desire to do it all over again. Pardon my asking but did you really play it and liked some tracks there? I mean do you actually know what music you`re searching? It`s important in this case. I also listened to tons of soundtracks from VGs which I`ve never ever even planned to play first-hand and liked them but there were also huge failures when I chose almost blindly a score to try out next. Long story short I can even reinstall that prog, zip audio files and send you for examination purposes but I won`t redo entire procedure myself. If you`re seriously interested tell me and I`ll help you to obtain such a sounds pack or complete setup.exe.

I never played Psychotoxic(although, I vaguely remember visiting the game's website around the time it came out), I was just curious what kind of soundtrack it has. But that's ok, I found it on isozone so I can check it out myself. Either way, thank you. :)
