Track 11 will not extract from the lossess KOF'96 either..

I've tried multiple extractors and they all do the same and i've downloaded both archives twice. Something is definitely wrong as I had previously downloaded both archives and they worked fine back when they were first upped.

Hmm, there is one track on the KoF '98 Arrange Sound Trax that is incomplete, Showdown R & D is actually 4:09 according to vgmdb and I noticed that a lot of the static at the start of the track was cut out.

Other than that, this has been a one-stop shop for all the KoF soundtracks in one place, and I appreciate your contributions greatly, Forest.

I like KOF XII soundtrack, is very good in my opnion, each song represents your scenario very well. Theme of XII and Bye-Bye (Arcade Version) are pure feeling.

Could someone help me with the KOF '00 soundtrack? I think I might have messed up the cue file by accident. None of my programs would recognize it so I tried to edit it, and nothing worked... I wanted to split the FLAC into separate tracks for ease of listening. :(

Thank you very much for the uploads! I see that KOF 98' AST (LOSSLESS) both mirrors are down. Is it possible to get that re-upped? I appreciate your time and effort on this.

There's is only one KOF CD that is missing in this collection: KOF NEOWAVE Consumer Version. What has been around for years claiming to be this soundtrack is a PS2 Rip encoded at 128. Somehow, the one who made this rip manged to get the last track which was not used in the game, this track is the one that sounds the worse of them all.
There is also another CD that has a bad rip, although is not in this thread: SNK Characters Sounds Collection Volume 10 ~ Shermie, the rip that's available has track 7 as track 4, so this track is missing, is about an encounter with Benimaru. I hope someone can better rips of these CDs

Hey, I am uploading right now a remastered version of KOF2001 for the Dreamcast. I used Snkhero's awesome rip and slightly enhanced the quality and optimized the files. The original sounded amazing, and it wasn't even noticeable that it was from a lossy source. I have encoded the audio in the highest mp3 quality possible. Hope you enjoy :)

i listening dreamcast version KOF 99, 2000,2001 & 2002 and only that 2001 sound different vs original arcade version.. and that PS2 versio of KOF 01 it's sound same like original soundtrack only that KOF 01 AST sound different

KOF '98's Korea's team theme is an edited version of KOF '96's Korea team theme "Seoul Road". There isn't a Korea team theme in KOF '98's AST album. The complete track is in the KOF 96's AST album.

A gamerip had been uploaded on ffs once. I noticed that some of the music was missing in the Heroes OST. Remixes like Origin Of Mind, Tears, Guitar Omega & Rugal for example. But the gamerip lacked a full loop. Songs fade way too early.

I disagree with that, i don't like same thing repeating over and over. Number of loops in the OST is enough to me if you ask

I can understand that. My problem with the rip is that the song doesn't properly finish before the loop point. I'm not talking my usual triple love. In the rip, you don't even get the standard double you find on all osts.

To Sliat and anyone else who cares : late post is late, but having had the same reaction as you to the NeoGeo Heroes OST, I did my best to remedy that by trying to volume-correct the gamerip and loop it over... which worked great for The origin of mind and decently enough for Sanagi wo yaburi chou wa mau, but failed horribly for the rest because there's actual gaps in the music as opposed to just the volume fading out. Ended up only keeping those two. Here they are, one added loop for Sanagi and one and a half plus fadeout for Origin due to blatant favoritism on my part.

KOF 2001 for DC has a manipulated soundtrack sampled from the NeoGeo/MVS version, it was made so it could be heard in stereo instead of the fully mono original soundtrack, it's not remixed, Playmore only added stereo effects. On the PS2, however, the arrange soundtrack are new remixes of the original soundtrack.

Yeah, the loop points are horrendous to try and figure out. I did the exact same as you did for Sanagi Wo ... but for Origin Of Mind, I made my loop a couple of seconds earlier. I did all the stages from the rip, but my ears still cringe when I know that the loop isn't in the right places. Also did ALOT of volume editting to raise the sound on the fade to make more effective loops. I'll probably upload my efforts, but don't expect anything outstanding. It's more for completion purposes.

thanks to this i finally completed my basic '94-'00 KOF AST collection (don't care for anything past KOF2K anyway:)

but i noticed that neither AST album has for example London March, Blue Mary's Blues, C62 proper full arranged versions, and i distinctly remember having them couple of years ago as mp3s
i quickly shuffled through the Fatal Fury ASTs but couldnt find them there either (well, there's different London March and C62, yes), but there's a "kof" version of London March clocking at 4:33...

so what am i missing and where can i get those? thanks in advance

That's where I had originally got it from. The problem is the incomplete playthrough which makes looping extremely difficult. Post #426 are my loops. What's missing are the originals of Esaka, ect... because I had assumed the NGHUS tracks were the originals (which we know them to be not the case).

How come SNK stop putting voice tracks on their OST, I noticed that right after Eolith took over and ever since they're back, they always skipped the voices/SFX's. Why is that?
I actually liked them...

The answer is simple, because SNK ceased to exist. The successors to SNK ever since, don't have the same quality standards SNK had (and you can see it in most of the games they've released), at first it was to save money, now they simply don't bother.
I know most of people following this thread will disagree, but I think is a great thing the decision SNKP made of reducing to the max the production of videogames, I can live with no new KOF's rather than with new KOF's getting worse and worse. Why didn't they do it before the Atomiswave?

if you mean kof 2002 i can say there are no arrange sound track "AST" version of that games.. and DC soundtrack sound just same like OST only that DC 2001 sound different vs others platform..

Sobre as quest�o dos FLAC e dos mp3 128kbps, sinceramente, eu nem me prestei a fazer uma checagem da intensidade das m�sicas, eu apenas postei na primeira p�gina do t�pico as trilhas que o snkhero e kirarax uparam em FLAC e re-upei as que ficaram off porque o pessoal daqui pediu. Na verdade, eu acho que esses FLACs que come�aram a surgir foram apenas umas convers�es que o snkhero e os outros fizeram dos mp3s, porque se tu for ver, simplesmente do nada esses FLACs surgiram, o pessoal que tem os CDs originais das trilhas dos jogos da SNK daqui do Galbadia (como por exemplo o Myrkul), n�o costumam compartilhas essas preciosidades em qualidade boa. Posso estar falando uma grande bobagem sobre a convers�o, mas vou at� pegar o SoundForge pra fazer umas compara��es.
Sem contar que eu nem me importo muito com FLAC, upo porque o pessoal daqui prefere, sendo mp3 e eu conseguindo escutar a m�sica e todos os instrumentos perfeitamente, est� �timo!

Com certeza sou um grande f� de Castlevania, j� possuo boa parte das trilhas do teu t�pico, mas vi que muita coisa me falta.

2. The version of NDR in the folder is the same as the original version (MIDI instruments)

to bad 2 many thouse songs cant loop right that's means i dont loops eny1 of thouse song of that sondtrack... and i rippet thouse all songs from PS2 versions of games and if there some songs miss that's means that's songs are not in that PS2 games.................. sure i can try make new rip if i found that song but i can say 98% that songs is not that PS2 games what i have...

This is an amazing contribution OP! The SNK ASTs are fantastic.

Hi all. Taking into account that both rips of 98UM's AST have bad fadeout timings, and just don't loop properly in general, I went and did something about it. I went ahead and converted all the lossless files from SNKhero's rip into 320kbp MP3s and looped them. I also took some stuff that didn't loop right in SNKhero's rip from JFCT555/Forest's rip and looped them accordingly, since those had more proper loop points. This is without a doubt the most complete AST for 98UM, barring some exceptions (I excluded the Neo Geo sound effect from SNKhero's rip, there is apparently no arrange version of N.D.R. in the game in addition to some other songs, and certain songs like Fanatic Waltz and Esaka Forever do not loop due to both versions having bad fadeouts).

Thanks, btw I was able to extract it from the .rar via 7Zip.
Though using Winrar still gives a ""302 SLASHER ZERO (Clonet Zero).flac" is broken message" (7Zip gives the same message but does extract it).

i dont understand why some of the arranged OSts are 128KB why not 192 like the original ??
