What are your favorite fictional bands from a video game or anime? I really like the DCMC from Mother 3. Those guys know how to rock and their theme is quite catchy!

The only ones I can think of are Milk Can from Um Jammer Lammy and... um, that girl in Rhapsody, but that doesn't really count, since it is a musical RPG, and she's not a band.

Oh, and the Indigo-Gos (Majora's Mask), how did I forget about you?!

Currently my favorite is the Desperado Crash Mambo Combo (DCMC) from Mother 3. They not only play sweet music, they save your butts at a critical moment.
