Yes, mixtapes! I still make them, both cassette tape-wise and trying to compile neat mixes on the computer. <3 I love it, do you? ^_~

Actual mixtape-trading made it the last couple of months even more fun, you know, that you know that your own compilations have a bit of a goal, sorta. :D And I just love discovering neat combinations of tracks, and making the artwork of it at the same time.

I don't know if anyone here wanna start mixtape-trading? :p Knowing my luck, it'll end up like the last recommendation thread Mandi started and the thread dies a terrible death. ~ Or post your own compilations/mixes/opinions in here!

These are two (when you look close enough to the albumcovers) monthly mixtapes, no theme involving, just having tried to recommend two peops songs that they WOULD like, according to their taste. :D And they both liked it lots, hurray:

So super psyched that they're on tour, and that they're still so good. And it was in a pretty small venue, and on a sunday thus not such a big crowd, but it was marvelous nonetheless. <3 !

So suave ~

It is a travesty that there are not more posts in this thread.

I am a pretty big mix tape fan I think they're pretty gr9. I used to make tapes a bunch back in high school for the ladies. Actual cassette with orginal artwork is definitely the way to go.

I haven't made a tape in a long time but I would definitely like to start again. If you see this Trent I purpose a swap for sure. I could do some local stuff from around here maybe. There is a pretty awesome Hip Hop scene in Minneapolis if you're into that.

This thread will most likely lead to me poking around my itunes library for hours.

They aren't electro at all, that was the thing, that song just fitted it in so nicely, and I simply took the theme "electro" in a not so litteral way. :*

I'm absolutely sure I'll love some hip hop tunes from you good sir! When I think of Minneapolis, bands like Hsker D comes quicker to mind than alternative hip hop music though, but sure let's trade. :)

Another recent example, this was for a guy who was, well, not really closedminded, but he mainly only listened to metalcore bands, thus a bit of a challenge eitherway to recommend him some tunes in mixtape form!

I have to agree with a previous posting - it is nice with people who appreciates the art of mixing music, gaming or otherwise.

Thanks for sharing!
