So what's the story on this?

Is it anywhere to be found other than the pages of that magazine from so many years ago? Just finished FF3, and wouldn't mind checking this out, if it even still exists lol.

I heard there was one of these for FFII as well...I'd certainly like to see both, as I loved FFII and I'm interested in seeing what they'd do with FFIII.

I found a place where you can buy all three volumes in ebook form. :D
http://www.ebookjapan.jp/ebj/title.asp?titleid=11898
It's in Japanese, but it's digital distribution, so it's not like there should be any complications of shipping lol.
Total for all three is 182.7MB and 1260 Yen. Which is like, $13usd or so. I don't know Japanese, but I'm going to get these and try and translate them best as possible for someone who's going to pick through symbols and try and put 2 and 2 together lol.

Yup. You can download samples of them too. It's like, the first 5 pages or something. The only downside to this is scanlating them is also going to involve copy and pasting them over to a viable format, because they use their own ebook format for their own reader. The reader thing is cool, it's like a virtual manga shelf. But if you know no Japanese it's pretty worthless, and hard to navigate. Installing it is also fairly difficult. Use Internet Explorer if you want to install the reader, it doesn't like Firefox.
