it'd be "Cyber City OEDO 808 OVA: Tsuioku no Komando" at least that's what it reads on the cover.
(Commando's Recollection)
Catalog Number: KICA-17
Release: 1990-06-21
Composer: Kazuhiko "Kazz" Toyama
Vocals by: Hidemi Miura (track 1&5)
1. Burning World ~Tsuioku no Komando~ [OP]
2. Sengoku
3. Benten
4. Gogle
5. Aishiau Iruka Moshikashii [ED]
my guess is it's a mini-album. Seeing as has the Opening and Ending themes, plus a few background instrumentals...
Though oddly enough the CD does read "Original Soundtrack" right below track 5... probably like 'music from the original soundtrack'.

My dearest apologies, cindy. I didn't know I was dealin with a brat who sounds like she 12 yrs old and doesn't really contribute shit just because her music was just plain garbage (from what i was told). Not to mention the stuff you give here belongs to other people and you end up takin credit without mentioning names. Second of all. All the stuff I post here [Tenchi Soundtracks] were mine and I posted them for people to have as well as the HD remix. A OC remixer Big Giant Circles gave me the first torrent and I downloaded it and posted it for others to enjoy so ya dont say I dont contribute shit or dont mention any names. They know who they are and they say its okay not to be mentioned. and when I mean they, thats a small amount of people and if your a friend of Brian then Ya. Obviously you might have beef with me. Second of all, I contribute when I feel like I want t contribute but It's hard when most people dont appreciate, also that Mako Rebirth album I made. I didnt bother posting my complete product due to some people not appreciating me and I had some followers yes but my "real life" was going so bad I had to put a halt to it. and heh I'm not trying to create drama here, that's the last thing I need. All you had to say is. Okay, I'll wait for her to post it when she feels like it, you didnt have to be a dick about it, its a forum. and dont tell me to leave, I'll leave when I god damn please, so yeah. Also how would you know how I sound like? You stalk me? you believe what other people say? You dont know anything unless your someone I know in disguise. Anyway. Dont light a fire you cant put out and secondly, I'm not here to cause problems, so dont make a bigger flame by posting back at this post and get at me, let it rest. That's all I'm going to say about that. Also about my music, Please. If you want to hear it that bad go to
www.youtube.com/hybridcinfoxsnake but if you really think it sounds like shit, please tell me in a PM or comment on the page. Dont whine about it unless you heard it first, [Everyone I seem to know like it] So yeah, please. Enough with the fighting.

da point I'm makin involves this soundtrack. You say you have it yet you went your way and posted in this thread leading everyone on and bringing up their hopes and shit.
Your disgusting attitude of not giving it them because most people believe your "music" variation-out-of-10000000-people-who-make-remixes-is-a-piece-of-shit is just wrong. But trust me . I dont want your OST so leave that be.
But yeah, no one here is fighting. I'm simply making a point about your way of giving and then takin shit away. Either you post WITH the ost or you dont post at all. Don't bullshit them. That's just another bitch move comin out of you.

She's a busy person and doesn't always have time to upload everything when people want it.
You need to learn to be a bit more patient. Though if you keep ranting at her like that she won't offer any more of the SUPER RARE anime OSTs she has... this is only one of the insanely hard to get ones that she has willingly offered. Just she has other things that need to be done too.
Please try to be more considerate.
You wouldn't like it either if you had a CD that someone wanted, but you had no time to upload; but people continued to hound you and that started telling you off just because you haven't found time to upload it yet.
I'd really love to see more of these rare CDs here... and nagging one of the few people who actually own them, isn't helping.
Jessie
12-29-2008, 11:28 PM
doesn't really contribute shit just because her music was just plain garbage (from what i was told).
Why not judge for yourself what her music is like and stop listening to what others have to say. You said her Street Fighter music was better than the OC Remix stuff, so must not have thought that was garbage.
Not to mention the stuff you give here belongs to other people and you end up takin credit without mentioning names.
Most of what everyone uploads was originally posted by someone else, you hardly expect people to remember or dig to find out who the original source uploader was, do you?
you might as well not post at all if you're gonna act like a baby. Don't bother comin' back, homie.

Just because you don't like Tenchi doesn't make the post 'pointless'. Some of those CDs aren't even purchasable anymore. So she did a very nice thing to upload her collection for those who do want it... though because of people like you, she ended up not uping the special "Chisa Yokoyama and the Heaven Band" album that she had for Tenchi.
You have NO right to ruin it for everyone else with your whining.
If people would just let her upload things in her own time, than maybe we could see some very rare stuff here... because from what she told me, she owns almost everything on in my signature looking for list + a lot of those on my main list that can't fit here.
I was merely asking her about the CD again because I hadn't heard anything from her in a while. I was in no way asking her to hurry it up. I also didn't realize she was being bombarded by jerks telling her her collections are junk and that she shouldn't upload them.
--; thanks, you've ruined a great and wonderful forum.
i did not understand that at the time, now i'm getting the picture.
i think some people can easily shut themselves from unnecessary sentences.
i did not saw it on tenchi's thread.

Chisa Yokoyama and the Heaven Band"
yeaaahh uh.... I dont...care about that. But hey, this sort of relates to this topic , right? She'll "have it" but then time passes by you.. lol yeah.. get over it and look for it if you want it that badly.

She was going to post it, this too. But people kept bothering her... and telling her to hurry up. Or calling what she was currently trying to upload 'shit', just because they didn't want it. That's all I'm trying to say.
I'm not mad that she's not uploading it. I'm more upset that people are being rude to her because they don't get it fast enough or only what they want.
As I stated before, most of those Tenchi CDs aren't purchasable anymore. What do you suggest I do? Hunt down someone who owns a copy and rob them?
beatsme2
12-30-2008, 03:55 AM
It's not that people want it "Fast" but if they are posting in this thread (You) and request for it is cause it's been too long already. The reason is more than sufficient if ya ask me. She said she was going to upload yet she never took action and hey, no one whined (which includes me). I simply just joined in on the thread and was backin you up cause this supposedly rare ost she has is within her grasp and now she doesn't want to hand it over. That's fine with me. There's always another person to come over with it.

No. you would just sit back and wait patiently for someone else to upload it, mews. Didn't we just established that moments ago ? I believe that people like her have reason to not give it up. And that's basically cause no one really tried to look for it themselves and they tend to lean on them for all the stuff. It's only natural and snotty at the same time.

Well I wish I at least knew the catalog number for this one... I can't find hide nor hair of it. It may be purchasable... I really don't know. I've tried looking up so many things to try to fish it's whereabouts out, with no luck. I can't even say how long I have been after this CD. If I had the money I'd go to Japan and check all the shops and possible garage/yard sales (do they do that over there?) and see if I have any luck. But right now all I have been able to find is a few people listing the same CD ShmupFighter has been nice enough to offer up. No signs of anyone selling it... so I am very greatful to him/her for this album too.
Well hopefully I'll be into some more money soon and I'll be able to get a few more rare CDs, including the Ellica OST and single Morrigan has been asking me to try to track down.
The only reason it takes me so long is because I first must find a seller, than shuffle enough cash away to buy it. Import charges are murder if the price is high. And some rare CDs do go for an arm and a leg... I've seen some Jungle Emperor and older Galaxy Express ones going for $100 per CD! So... things like those are a bit out of my reaching range...
Anyways, sorry for nagging you. I just have been having a bad week. And took things the wrong way.

Other Kazuhiko "Kazz" Toyama albums that'd be worth getting...

So, guys. Is this CD here, that I uploaded, rare at all?
Mewsie
12-30-2008, 06:46 AM
Yes, it is pretty rare from what I've gathered while searching it up today. There wasn't even anyone left selling it... just people listing it's tracks.
Calligraphy for the album: 「電脳都市(サイバー・シティ)OEDO 808~追憶のコマンド」オリジナル・サウンドトラック
Places checked: Amazon.jp (sold out), barks.jp (sold out), a-too.co.jp (couldn't figure out if they were selling or just listing it's original sales price), interq.or.jp (might be selling... it seemed questionable (didn't give any links or people to contact to purchase)), auctions.hanamoku.jp (sold out),
No other shops turned up in the search... more likely they never had the CD or it sold out before the store made a webbie.
Game soundtrack if anyone is interested (info at least):
http://vgmdb.net/album/1152
There is a special DVD Box for the anime... it's possible it contains a CD (possibly even the OST) for the anime... GNBA-3027 But it's a long shot without definitive proof.

Thanks! One of my favorite OVAs ever.
I have checked, adn checked, and did my private eye thing....
it seems this is really the ova ost. this upload by jalvarez82.
Ichecked this:
Criminal's Night: music from CYBER CITY OEDO 808
http://vgmdb.net/album/1152
and its the pc engine game soundtrack. The track titles are consistent with the story of the ova.
I heard it from youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31aI_qiiryM
And i thought it was a bit like Dragon ball Z Gaiden. It started to a game with a lot of animated videos (ANIME) and then released later on VHS as OVA...
I cant believe this is the ost.
Just 4 musics? 0.o
QooQooQooQoo
04-23-2009, 05:08 PM
I checked that again.
The released date of "KICA-1009" is 1990/10/21 .
And the real OST "KICA-17" is 1990/06/21 .
But the OVA vol.1 is 1990/06 , vol.2 1990/12 , vol.3 1991/10 .
The PC Engine game is 1991/03/15 .
All the date come from Japan Wikipedia.
We consinder that the OVA series made great reaction,
so the producer or corporation decided to publish that game and album.
The OST uploaded by jalvarez82 is the only one about OVA.
Althought it only OP, ED songs and 3 BGM musics.

I don't think an official OST CD was released for the PC Engine game. I'm pretty sure the redbook audio, if at all rip-able) would be the only way we'd get to hear the soundtrack.

We don't know why that game music came out 1 year early.
But we're sure the KICA-17 is the only one OVA OST.
So now Mewsie wants the 14 tracks of KICA-1009,
not the 23 tracks of UK version, right?
We don't have it, but still trying.

We don't know why that game music came out 1 year early.
But we're sure the KICA-17 is the only one OVA OST.
So now Mewsie wants the 14 tracks of KICA-1009,
not the 23 tracks of UK version, right?
We don't have it, but still trying.

Sure... that'd the interesting. But Cindy seems to somehow have her hands on the 23 track Japanese Score.
Not the UK one... but I don't know if she's willing to up it anymore after the whole issue with the Tenchi thread.

Composer for that 1990's album posted on vgmdb is Keiichi Yamamoto.
I have started a discussion on vgmdb about the strange release date.
I don't see why and how could it be possible to compose the music for a game 1 year before this same game is published..?

Often music is started long before the project is... though the game could have easily been half way through the making and the music just got finished first.
There are quite a lot of possibilities. Though it'd be more properly considered an Image Album if it were from an Anime, instead of a game... at least I don't think they still count as such from games.
Just as people here seem to get their hands unto OSTs from movies before they even go the theater... it's almost the same concept.

Yeah i know, but 1 year delay was kinda strange.
Release date for that album have been fixed, it's October 90 (and not May), that make it more plausible.
I'd say it's confirmed to be the soundtrack for the game.
Like many, i am interested to hear that album. No rips so far..
Very strange. indeed!
I thought that this could be a soundtrackfor each episode, like then japanese did in the 90ts for those cyberpunk anime OVA. I download the series on porpouse with the japanese soundtrack...and there is a lot of music missing on the first episode.
I did manage to get other information about it....
the 23 tracks ost is the UK version....
where is the information about the JAPANESE VERSION?
Sometimes we have soundtracks of games that come out more late.
It had happened with me

I'm agreed.
Sometimes we must find the truth by ourselves.
Maybe someone hadn't checked the reality, so made this mistake.
Now we realized it.

You guys thanks for both the Japanesse Soundtrack and the UK one, been wanting them for years, I still have the UK released Video with the Cyber Punk Collection (1st part) logo on the side, still got the AD police one but could never find Genocyber to complete the set :-(

Just got my hands unto so sweet dual-audio (meaning English audio and original Japanese) .avis for the 3 episodes. Anyone good at making DVD rip OST things? xD I can try... but I might take forever on the project of trying to make a real score seeing as 3 tracks (plus ending and opening)... is hardly an OST.
I also have Spring and Chaos.ogm
Demon City Shinjuku .. I must have had as something, as I've ripped it's three parts into three separate.mp3s... guess it must have been .mkv or something to make them .mp3 right off.
Just found somewhere to get Battle Arena Toshiden OAV 1+2 with Spanish subs... (not that I care, I just am stealing the audio) xD.
Gunsmith Cats 1-3.avi (when audio is stolen it's made .wav by default).
DNA Sights 999.9.avi (french dub or sub, forget which).
RG Veda 1+2.avi
even Curse of Yoma 1+2.avi (even though I have the OST now... so they seem questionable to keep)
and am downloading Dragon Century 1+2.avi ^^;;
and plan to download Battle Arena Toshinden 1+2.avi
Oh, anyone up for cutting apart and properly tagging the Tenchi Muyo! Movies .wavs? xD I've removed the voices to the best of my abilities... but haven't gone further than that.

I have those also.... never got my hands on GENOCYBER TAPE.
I have the other kind of cyberpunk collection, with the same logo, but on the side. I think those we have are collector's editions.

If you had the tape or animation, then it was easy to rip or record it.
Just with some software doing that.
We know how to do it, but can't make a description of detailed process.
Sorry for my bad English.

I know how to easily make .avi to .wav, .mp3 or other... that's the simple part. I even know how to cut it apart (like for the different songs).
But what I would love to know, is if there is a better program than Audacity's vocal remover... for getting rid of vocals and background noises (ex: walking, shooting, fighting... etc.)

In fact, the compressed track can't be without any noise.
If the source includes two more individual Channel, then it's possible to separate the sound you want.
Like some old video format "mpg" or "mpeg", usually has right and left Channel with different languages or sounds.
So there is still not any software which can handle this situation well.
