Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles revolves around the lives Sarah Connor(Linda Hamilton) and her son John(Edward Furlong), following the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day. At the end of T2, Sarah, John and the Terminator(Arnold Schwarzenegger) successfully destroy the almost unstoppable T-1000. The Terminator who help the Connors is then destroyed in order to eliminate any future technology references that could be used to create Skynet. Sarah and John were only able to delay "Judgment Day" from 1997 to 2011. They must face the reality that enemies from the future could be after them at anytime and anywhere.

"Thomas Dekker plays a very convincing teenage version of John Connor"
In the year 1999, another Terminator is sent back to kill John Connor(now played by Thomas Dekker). The future resistance also sent back a Terminator of their own in the shape of a teenage girl named Cameron(Summer Glau). With Cameron's help, John and Sarah(Lena Heady replacing the aging Linda Hamilton) were able to make a temporal leap to the year 2007 in order to stop the creation of Skynet.

"Sarah, John and Cameron"
The show opened with only nine episodes due to the writers' strike at the time and ran from January through March, 2008. It was the highest-rated new scripted series from 2007 till 2008 in television. It was later renewed for a second season, which began on September 8, 2008. The second season opens with a suspenseful episode that continued from last season's cliffhanger. The series shows no sign of stopping the adreneline rush that preceeded each episode and with the introduction of the new T-1000 in the form Catherine Weaver(Shirley Manson), head of high tech corporation: ZeiraCorp things are getting a little bit more interesting.

"Terminator love is a little aggresive..."
Highly recommended for those looking for an intelligent drama and pure butt-kicking action~

Saw the first Episode a few weeks ago on Sky. It looks OK, but I don't really think it's as good as the movies.

I've watched the last few episodes of it, up until the one where Catherine Weaver offers the psychiatrist guy a job.
The series is okay. I'd rather watch this than Prison Break, but I find shows that are prequels/sequels to a movie rather boring. If it's a prequel, you already know who's gonna die and what, ultimately, the result is going to be. If it's a sequel, you know they're not going to make it more epic than the movie.
It was a good idea adding a Terminator to the Conner team. Otherwise it would seem a bit unfair having three humans fight what is essentially the entire cyborg army. I miss Arnold though. D:

nope not getting canceled, it was iffy for a while but Fox, who owns the series, ordered the back 9 giving it a full 22 episode season.
In the US it will be moved from Mondays to its new night, Friday where its being paired with Joss Whedon's new Show Dollhouse.

that's great that its not getting canceled! i think its one of the best shows on TV right now, and i would have been mad to see it end. although i liked it on Mondays, cuz i would watch Heroes after it.
what's dollhouse about? i think i saw a commercial for it but i can't remember.

The basic idea of Dollhouse is these people "dolls" work for a company known as the dollhouse. These people live there until a client hires them to do what ever job they want. The dolls are pretty much blank slates until they are implanted with memories and personalities, to do the job they are contracted for.
The mission we know about has Echo, the main character played by Eliza Dushku, is hired by a rich man to be his date at a wedding. When the mission is over she is returned to the dollhouse and wiped clean.
This will allow the show to have one episode stories that Network TV likes so much. It will also have the season long arc that Joss loves so much.

Protium21 I see that you are a fan of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.I've seen every episode since the begining.I have bought at itunes the first episode the Pilot and season ones finally What He Beheld. Also I bought the HD version of Season 2 episode 19:Today is the Day part 2 (fka ...Jimmy Carter) which is my favorite when John finally starts behaving like the leader of the resistance and I enjoyed the scenes With Derek and Jesse. The Last episode of Season 2 was Awesome! So many surprises and twists also some great homage from the first terminator movie.....you know what I'm talking about the prison and the gun shop.I dont have no more money to buy the rest of the episodes at itunes to support it more but I did sign the petition...

Protium21 I dont know if you remember me but I was making a request if you can upload the sonic R and Castlevania 64 lossless sountrack. How is that progress going?I hope the new Terminator movie makes other pepole pay more attention to the series.Other people expect every episode to me pure action and lots of terminators but this show is more than that it has balance between action, drama, developing characters, and many more.
