Well i have the ps version (greatest hits AND original hehe) but i thought ive never beaten it on the pc so why not.

anyways..

its all installed blah blah i have an 8800gts and the characters appear all

black...

all the toons are black for some reason..everything else seems fine but everyones just black.

I am using some mods though..i had it working FINE untill my dumbass uninstalled it to reinstall it to make an ff7 music patch work which does now ..but the video things driving me fucking insane any help would be appreciated or suggestions.. the xp patch i think can suck it but i thought i heard there was a patch specifically for this problem

oh and i say screw the xp patch cuz it does nothing at all..it actually makes it worse.

never really heard any patch specifically for fixing 'black' characters in FF7, perhaps you could check here (http://forums.qhimm.com/).

as usual, perhaps it's your driver problem, who knows? try reinstalling or updating the driver (even though i find newer NVIDIA drivers brings more problems than fixing them).

anyway, have you tried the official 1.02 update for Final Fantasy VII? if no, try this, http://aaronserv.dyndns.org/hosting/ffsf/downloads/ff7_1.02.zip. See here (http://aaronserv.dyndns.org/hosting/ffsf/patch.html) for more info. perhaps it will help?

the ff7music patch, huh? i thought of doing that as well, since i've just reinstalled FF7 just 2 days ago, looks like you're a step ahead of me, lolz.

and btw im not having problems with the music patch the game just looks like crap now and freezes right after the first forced battle in the game, i might just go back to the ps version and say screw it just cuz the textures are different i could care less if its gonna give me a huge headache

lolz... what did you do when you apply the music patch? i find it pretty odd that you reinstalled it before/after applying the patch

it made the patch work i dunno i like installed random xp patchs and uninstalled them i really dont know what the fuck i did man..its beyond me..driving me nuts though

lolz... just wanna ask, did you actually use the unofficial 1.4 patch for Final fantasy 7 (where they claim that applying the patch will promise 100% compatibility with XP)? if you did, perhaps the patch did something to your systems files or registry that caused that? well, at least i know that the 1.4 patch can kill.

anyway, can you help me in my case? really urgent... (sorry if i'm being pushy and impolite).
