I tried it thru Extreme mode and it won't work...is it because of me playing on Subsistence rather than Snake Eater ??

There is no Metal Gear 3.

He meant a secret game in Metal Gear Solid 3. And yes, it does exist, I've done it. If memory serves correctly, when you get captured, just save with Para-Medic and return to the game. Don't do anything for a while, and Snake will fall asleep and an interactive dream sequence occurs where you have a sword and can cut up lots of zombies.
