This is the music I extracted from the Soul Calibur 4 disc. Compared to the LE Guide soundtrack, there's 17 tracks more in this version (21 more if you count the Star Wars music). I wasn't able to extract all the different ending music because they were all mixed directly with sound effects.

Is there a way you can converted to mp3's? I'm new to this ogg files

There has to be a bunch of utilities which can do that, although I can't think of one right away. I chose .ogg simply because it has better compression than mp3.

It was surprisingly easy. I had already ripped the music from Soul Calibur 2 and 3, and this happened to use the exact same music format (ADX).

Have you ripped this from PS3 or 360? Because its odd, 360 uses XMA codec and thats unrippable as of right now, never heard of a 360 game that uses a codec other than XMA.

As for PS3 i thought the files are encrypted even if its adx.

From the 360 version, but I'm gonna bet it's in the same format on the PS3 version too (it was the same with SC2, it used the same format on all 3 platforms).

I'm guessing most games use the XMA format because Microsoft offers free libraries for it, but developers are still able to use their own format or something they had already licensed. ADX was a very popular format last generation and it seems a few developers are still using it.

Thats what i thought.

XMA has libraries for it but its for licensed Microsoft devs only, the decoder/encoder tool is available in the XDK kit. but its very hard to obtained and the XMA format is very hard to reverse.

PS3 could use ADX, but since its on bluray media chances are its gonna be encrypted like all PS3 games.

So yes your very lucky that 360 game uses ADX, wish Darkness used soemthing else other than XMA because thats one of my beloved scores.

Thanx for doing this rip but I seem to be having trouble downloading it as RS says "Your IP address 212.134.155.210 is already downloading a file"

This is not my IP though and it's been like this for the last week, does anyone know whats wrong?

You tried looking through the XNA tools? Although, from that I remember you'll still need one of the development files to get through the encryption.

Yes, i did, and it only comes with the xWMA format tool which is like XMA but different. Cannot do anything with that.

Most music players on PC should support .ogg. Winamp supports it for instance.

The music titled Stage 19 is what the stage music when you're fighting Algol should have been. Thing is I have not heard the song once while playing. Is there a way to actually hear it in game?

Hmm, I'm fairly sure it's the music for one of the stages, but I'm not sure. Stage 20 is the one used as the final music for Algol in tower mode though.

Finally heard stage 19's music. It played on floor 41 in Tower of Lost Souls.

EDIT: It plays on every "last floor" of each challenge after floors 39-41. Example: floors 57-59, it will play on floor 59.

The song is called Spark of Fate, and it's officially my favorite track next to Destiny Will Tell.

SECOND EDIT: And Stage 20's music is called Thanatos. It's also an awesome track. After getting through the seemingly impossble floors 57-59, hearing this song gets you pumped for the final showdown. =)

i tried to rip the sc4 music from the disc too. I ended up with bgm.afs
if i extract this i do not get adx, only aix files. How to get adx out of these aix files? The voice.afs does have adx files in it, but not all extracted fs are adx files

Edit: found out that aix contain multiple adx streams. If i extract these i get a lot more, but that's what i'm currently doing....
