More action less talk. some people like me would like to be able to skip over some of the scenes if not the first time, the second time we play the game over again keep the awesome graphics and the battle modes, but cut the chatting scenes down will ya. I like to be able to play a game were I can get some where and save quick. I like Final Fantasy games a lot ad I don't mind a long scene here and there but when it takes longer than a hour for one scene thats stupid.

I think you tottally missed the point of FF. It is about plot, story and character development. Yea the battles are cool and all, but they are just a device to move the story along.

One thing I'd like to see in a Final Fantasy game is more than one possible ending. Have a couple of major events during the game that you can effect with your choice, and then have the game play out dependent on those choices and lead to separate endings. That would mean parallel stories and make things a little more varied and give you more reasons to play the game to completion.

Play Chrono Trigger.

They're so perfect already.

Or actually, when I first played FF8 I thought that only voice actors would make this game better, and now, look at FF10... So... nothing to complain about. :)

i agree. nothing would make this game better. when you look at the series, everythings the same. okay, a little exagerated. but its true. the series has had the same stuff (time consuming way to say it) ever since day 1. if they changed it (like ffX pushed it a little) it would suck.

I would have to say that there shouldn't be set paths, ways you have to go, missions you have to complete, places you have to see etc. It should be like a choose your own adventure. Talking to certain people, taking certain actoins should influence the way you go, what happens, you get my drift.
This way you get alternate endings and it would be alot more fun a 2nd or 3rd time around coz you would nearly always experience new things. Which would allow more of a lastability, instead of playing, finishing, then not playing anymore.

I only have two problem with Squares latest work. The side quests are long. One of the sidequests I can't beat.

So what I'm basically saying is that FFX's sidequests were extremely long and that they shouldn't make you dodge lightning 200 times for an important item! >_<

i dont know about anyone else, but to me the stories are really repetatve. I can't quite put my finger on it but somehow everytime i play a new FF i feel like ive seen it before. i want something totally different.

One thing I noticed is that they don't have that many open ended questions, I agree that they do pose many questions, but if you leave open ended questions, people play it to find the answers, and if leaves stuff for forum goers like you and me to discuss.

Also, one thing I don't like is in games where everything drastically changes and there isn't much to do in the end, ala FFVI, FFVII, FFVIII, those are just a few. It may just be me, but when things get real dark and gloomy it sort of turns me off for a game, I need total action throughout the whole game.

Simple: Nudity and Cussing. It makes everything better, more realistic.

Multiple endings so the game has a higher replay value and perhaps character classes (I'm I die hard AD&D fan). Side quests that enrich the story, but r not nesicary to complete the game.

Somthing I feel that would make it seem more realistic is:

1:Your characters weapons can break.
2:Your characters bleed when wounded.
3:When your characters take a critical hit they limp around in battle depending where they got hit.
4:The two main characters who like each other end up having sex.

ways to make final fantasy better:
1: dif. story lines every time u play
2: more kick ass fighting scenes like in FFVIII(garden battle scene) and FFXI(limblum attack and the Ifa tree incident)
3: BLOOD!!!!!!!

Well squaresoft have tried blood, during battles (in only some ff's)
when you kill a monster they will turn red, that would be the blood effect.
But yeah I see where your going with that.

Anyway.....
More than just 1 legandary weapon for each character so you can customise all those legendary weapons into one AMAZING weapon.

As Backup and Safer said BLOOD!!! and swearing it may seem immature but it can add to tension in the storyline.
Definatly multiple endings it makes you work harder for the satisfaticon of getting another one.

No more crappy Celine Dion-style easy listening songs. *shudders*

That, and they should try to continue with what they started with FF7 (not the story of FF7, I mean the in-depthness of it. They just went all shallow with 8 and 9.)

Less talking, female main charcters, voices and renaming of all characters. :p

Blood, cussing, sex, and nudity? Go play GTA3 instead. ;)

FF10 has blood. There's already mild cussing. Personally, I don't care for the sex and nudity. I'd rather not have that all shoved in my face, and I would actually lose a lot of respct for the series were they to do that. I wouldn't mind the love story including implied sex, but a sex scene? No thanks. I like the way they handle thos issues already.

Female main character as the lead. Don't make her a wuss to start (a` la Dagger and Yuna.) But don't do a personality reversal and give us a wimpy male lead.

NO VOICES! I HATED THE VOICES! Or at least hire better actors!

Strangely, I wouldn't care for the dozens of different endings. Maybe an added bonus or an added scene.

Either way, I also wouldn't complain if nothing changed at all. I know what I like. Final Fantasy has never disappointed me.

OK about the voices thing, it may of seemed bad, because the voice actors couldn't see the character's actions so it might not of seemed right.
I learnt about this when I heard a interview with the bloke played Tidus.
