Well, I've got the game, but have not yet played it... Since mine's the only rip of Pokemon Box I've seen, guess I may as well do this, too... Probably won't be the best quality due to recording limitations, but it'll be better than nothing(which is probably all there'll be if I don't do it. :P).

So there's only four songs? And one of them only plays the first time you start the game up? Any sound effects I should be aware of to try and avoid as much as possible(specifically for the one time one)?

Last night was the first chance I had to try out recording it, and it turned out horrible!! It's very fuzzy, and occasionaly a clicking noise will start and stop. Sorry. But I won't stop trying!

I'm going to see if there's any way I can copy off the Wii and rip it from what I get.

And what do you mean by that?

Well, the Wii has a menu where you can copy/delete WiiWare games/Virtual Console/Channels onto an SD card. With that file, I'm going to see if I can rip music from that.

It'd be nice if we could do things that way, Seary, since that'd certainly give us optimal sound... Not sure that the necessary tools are available for that sort of thing yet, though...

I'll start my attempts on recording it tomorrow. Few questions... What time does night kick in? How do you visit someone else's ranch? And does the intro theme only play once, like the Professor introductions in the regular RPGs? Do Pokemon make cries and other sound effects(that would mean that I shouldn't start transferring them in until after recording)? Recording would be easier if I had the answers. :P

Here come answers to all those questions:

I don't know when night comes. One night, it was around 7 o'clock, and it got dark and the night theme played. Then, a few minutes later, it got light, and the morning theme played. Weird! Then, the night theme played normally about an hour later(as I watched my Shaymin sleep. So cute).

To visit a friend's Ranch, you need eachother's friend code. I don't know how it works after that.
For a member of club Look-See, that really just happens randomly. (My first Look-See member was the Bidoof/Bibarel Ranch.)

What do you mean by intro?

Yes, there are cries (chibi versions from the game) and sound effects.

And, if you're worrying about cries and SFX, zoom out to an aerial view of the Ranch. you shouldn't get anything.

Well, I've recorded some of the music... But this game is plagued by sound effects and long fade ins... I don't think there'll be any way to get an acceptable game rip without stealing the music straight from the game's data... But I'll do my best. Seems pretty pointless since it won't be good enough quality that I'd put it in my own playlist, but whatever...

I noticed two other tunes... There's the one that plays when Hayley's telling you of her dream. And then there's another that plays when you've got a parade going(Backing out of this option also lets you get a sound effect-less version of the standard day and night themes, though they'd still have the fade in from the parade music...) But I've not done much experimenting yet, so I might get back to that now...

"Hayley's Theme" would appear to be the same as the "event theme". It seems to be impossible to get a clean version of the start of the Look-See Ranch themes, but I could probably do it for the versions on your own ranch with some splicing. Night and day aren't even remotely real time.

I've got the Wii Channel and Introduction mp3s made, and I'll probably do the one for Hayley's theme this afternoon, and perhaps the regular day and night ones, too.

Hey all. I've spent some time a couple of weeks ago ripping the soundtrack to the game... however, I don't have the Hayley's introduction theme that only plays at the first time that you play and see the 2D Hayley. There's no way I'm going to delete my Ranch save file with all my Pokemon on it. Too bad they don't allow us to copy the file to an SD card.

I thought I'd wait for Emperor ServingSpoon's rip but I hope I'm not being disrespectful for posting my work after Emperor had already said he'd do it.

In any case, maybe there can be a collaborative effort if Emperor could attach his Hayley's Introduction theme to my rip.

At the moment I'm not going to put this up on the download links forum as the rip is still incomplete.

Regarding the GeckoOS, I am leery of installing the Homebrew channel as I do share the Wii with other family members and would not want to take the risk of bricking the Wii even though it's a remote chance. So hopefully Emperor or anyone else can rip that Intro track.

My Pokemon Ranch 2? You mean that added patch to MPR for Pokemon Platinum (Japan only as of right now)? I've heard that there's some new music in that, too... That would be interesting to hear.

I won't bother with the other tracks, since they all fade in over the top of other tracks(and they're fairly uninteresting compared to the others, anyway), and JMTL's has them for anyone who particularly wants them.

I'm pretty sure none of us here are Japanese, so I wouldn't expect to see the added tracks here any time soon... They wouldn't release the MPR update until Platinum's out, and they don't seem to be in any hurry to release that outside of Japan.
