Glitch

First time I noticed this in Gears of Wars I was sure the characters were leaking oil from those suits everytime they got hit, then I'm seeing the same abnormal amount of blood in both Turok and Bioshock when you shoot an enemy and I can't help but think maybe their bodies are filled with thick lubricant instead of blood. Any idea why this is? It doesn't feel very realistic, no matter how good the games look.
I didn't see it in Bioshock, but it did kinda look like grease from GoW and Turok though. It's just the way the engine is. Honestly, I'm not a big fan.

It's red in Bioshock, but it still looks too thick.

Depending on the oxygen levels in blood, it can be near transparent and watery, to almost black and thick.
I thought the blood in GeoW wasn't bad.

the unreal engine isn't really meant to look like real life
it's meant to be realistic, but with its own style
plus it's definitely not easy to make perfect blood that actually spills out of people with that much detail
Blood is supposed to look like it's black if light is not directly shining on it, isn't it?
