Nice ambient tracks – it sure is different from most of Takada’s other works, and just goes to show his versatility.
I love the tension generated by the first half of Blackout. I’ve never played Michigan, but I always got the idea that this song is used when you die, or when you fail in your job. It starts out dangerous and tense with the piano repeating itself with minor changes. And then, about half-way through it all disappears and you hear the line from Chicago Skyline again. It’s beautiful. Especially since it’s played in Blackout very lonely, and has that sad descent at the end before going back to the tense line from the beginning of the song.
I wonder if they’ll ever use the line from Chicago Skyline as a station jingle for ZaKaTV in a future GhM game. I mean, ZaKaTV itself was incorporated into Killer7 and No More Heroes, so why not?
My Masafumi Takada song collection is now at 512 songs. I have a playlist called "GhM" contains 514 songs, but the other two are from Jun Fukuda. I expect to get even more once I get better at ripping songs out of FSR-DS.
Can you please reupload it, another Takada fan begs you.
Thread 55212
That one needs to be reuploaded too, but I’ll get to that a little bit later.
It’s always nice to hear from fellow Masafumi Takada fans. By chance, what works of his do you have? Do you have any of the rare ones? I’m still looking for the real "Shine ~for high time~", and the two Silver Case remix albums. And, of course, the elusive "Samurai Champloo Rhythm Tracks" CD.
I’ll edit this post with a link when I have one.

OK, done.
Those Silver cases remix albums are still the Holy grail on the internet, but I’ve got the Shine soundtrack (most of the tracks):
http://killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/dl.htm#fsr
There are even some tracks from the Moonlights syndrome on that page.
Regarding the Samurai champloo soundtrack, you can find it on shadowhaxor:

Also check the Killer7 remixes from this site, there is some good stuff right there:

The only downside is that some of the best songs from Shine, like:
Play a deep game
Nice middle’s boogie
I got rhythm
Rhapsody in blue
The Entertainer
and
An American in Paris
are not included in the rip. Have you heard my DS rip of "Nice middle’s boogie"? I would love to hear what the full version sounded like. Same thing with Rhapsody in Blue. The DS one has a main rhythm that sounds very chiptuney, and that’s not too bad, but have you heard the original? Check it out here: http://www.grasshopper.co.jp/ghmr/listen050801.html
It sounds so much better. The chiptune part is replaced with an actual guitar. That song reminds me of the Azel battle themes from God Hand, actually.
If I had the PS2 FSR I’d rip the songs myself, but I don’t.
Regarding those remixes, that one of Dissociative Identity is really nice. I wish the OST had the Linda Vermillion version on it, though. Or the Heroic Deeds with the vocals. I like to think of that as K7’s "PURE-WHITE GIANT TINY GLASTONBURY". Or especially the "Song for Travelers" that Cam Clarke sings.
And as for Samurai Champloo, thanks for the link, but I already have that one. The one I’m talking about is this:

Note the track lengths on this one. If Destructor and PARADE are the holy grails, then this must be the Ark of the Covenant.
And one thing regarding Moonlight Syndrome: Even Topdrunkee can’t figure out how to extract the full "Moonlight Syndrome Theme" from the game. It only plays in the video up to the guitar part, and then fades out, but he said somewhere that he’s sure he’s heard a full version. If I knew how to extract songs from PS1 games I’d give it a try.
k bye
I also appreciate the clean ID3 tags including the album cover. Many times I end up having to correct them myself.
Many thanks once again.
I’ll be glad if somebody could make us this favor.
Muchos appreciated!
