I discovered this site a few months ago (when searching for SSBB music), and have been astounded by the sheer number of video game music available. This place has music from almost every single video game published as well as from some anime and films. Thanks to this site I have been able to get music I had been searching for (a long time BTW).

With all the greatness of the site however, I noticed one major flaw. You can find any music you want if you know what you are looking for, but if you don't then its really hard for you to find good music. For example: If you are looking for "Frozen Hillside" a beautiful piece of music in Kirby Air Ride, you can go to Galbadia Hotel and find it under the game name. However, what if you wanted more music like Frozen Hillside? It would be very difficult to find such music unless you already knew about them too. Many people like myself do not have enough time to go through Galbadia Hotel song by song to find the gems of video game music.

Please recommend to me some beautiful music. When I say beautiful, I mean the music that puts a smile on your face, the music you'll listen to over and over again. It can be epic (promised plan, Xenosaga III), haunting (Luigi's medley, SSBB), beautiful (Gusty Garden Galaxy), or anything. There should be a list to share these beautiful music. These should include music from any game, not just popular medleys we've heard many times (Tetris theme anyone?)

Please recommend me some beautiful music. I'll later put them all in a huge list for anyone who enjoys VG music.

As for creating a list of "music you'll listen to over and over again," Cogito and I (in two separate threads) are working on that very goal already.

As for specific questions like "What other songs are beautiful like Frozen Hillside?" you can always start a thread with that very question. In this forum there are a ton of threads about specific types of songs, such as recommend me evil music, or heartwarming music, or epic battle songs. You just need to start a thread called "Recommend me some music like Frozen Hillside from Kirby Air Ride." Recommending music to one another is what these forums are all about. The forums are based on sharing such knowledge that would be otherwise too time-consuming or impossible to know. Consequently, I don't think the flaw you mentioned exists here. Just look around.

As one example, your request for recommendations of generally "beautiful music" is covered here (Thread 47761) and in a couple other threads. Check the list under "Anime and Video Game Music." There are tons of topics along these lines. And if you don't see anything branching off from a song you particularly like, such as "Frozen Hillside," you can always start a thread with songs like it as the focus.

I think you'll find what you're looking for.

As far as beautiful goes I have to mention 'Okami White Light Majesty', is one of the most beautiful tracks of the whole album, not too long, but not less beautiful.

"The Snow Howling" from the Kirite album.

If you're a synesthete like me, you might enjoy "Crimea Attacks" from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance because it's a very white and beautiful song. There are also a couple tracks from the most recent Fire Emblem game, Radiant Dawn, that sound like elegant shades of orange and brown.

One song that always puts a smile on my face when I hear it is "Aruarian Dance" from the Samurai Champloo Soundtrack.

The definition 'beautiful' is a bit difficult because it is also a question of taste and different likes, but the 'tales of legendia' OST is by many opinions one of the best and most varied Soundtracks from the last years. I have a lot of music and also OSTs in my collection, but it is still one of my favourites. What I can recommend also is a thread on this board about music from Joe Hisaishi. Check it out, I found it to be great music.

Funny thing, I stumbled upon these forums by searching for SSBB Sountrack. And now I've found about everything there is that I've been looking for years. Really happy about it.

I'm also having trouble because I don't have a clue of what I'm really looking for. But here's a suggestion. If you hear something that sounds really good, but not sure and don't want to waste time then go to youtube or something and try listening to a couple soundtracks before downloading.
