I have a 1 gigabyte Sansa Sandisk and an additional 2gb memory card. It's got a lot of lounge on it.

I have a "160gb" iPod that never leaves my side... and I use quotes because its real capacity is 148.79gb of data storage. On it you'll find 1819 full albums from across 269 artists. That takes 129.83gb of space just for mp3s.



I only have full albums and no single tracks (my policy), that is why I have so much... although I do have a lot of the singles that my favorite artists release, but recently I had to take them out of my iPod to make some space for new stuff.

I can breakdown the contents of my music library like this:
43% is JPop/JRock
25% is Pop/Rock/Metal/... in english
13% are Anime/Game OSTs
8% is CPop
7% is Pop/Rock in spanish (my native language)
4% is KPop

as you can see I am mostly into asian music, mainly japanese. All my english albums represent the music I used to listen to while I grew up, and the spanish albums are basically for my wife... you see, my asian obsession drives her mad :P

I have an iPod Touch 16GB 2nd gen model. I love it but I filled it up fast and I'm constantly "fighting" over what to take off so that I can add something new.

I was very close to buying either the 120GB iPod classic or the 120GB Zune instead and in a way I almost wish I had due to the space.

Having said that I do love the big huge touch screen LOL

I can see myself getting another one in the future maybe and if I do that then I'll probably go with the highest capacity iPod that I can find although I've heard rumors that the iPod classic models may be discontinued by the end of the year.

As for content I have all the albums proper by THE BEATLES and PINK FLOYD and then mostly movie soundtracks. Oh and I have the iTunes download of the Michael Jackson THRILLER video. That's essential especially on such a nice "big" screen LOL

I have an 80 gig Zune. Most people totally hate the Zune for no reason but I personally like it way more then an Ipod. And my music taste is way to random, but lately I've been listening to Regina Spektor, Ben Folds, 30 Seconds to Mars, Atmosphere, and Say Anything.

My 8 GB first-generation iPod Touch is now jailbroken with PwnageTool.

Aria Go Gear 16 GB.
Loads of music on there, I couldn't even begin to start how much is on there.

I used to think 8 GB was a lot of space, but when I look at my iPod now, I realise that 8 GB is just enough space for me to fill it with all the songs, clips and images I want to entertain myself on the go.

I have a 120gig Zune with whole lot of Rock/Metal/Flamenco/Blues/Jazz/Classical/&Led Zeppelin Bootlegs.

The thing that annoys me about MP3 players is how they are allowed to misrepresent the capacity. I have 120 GB iPod which, in reality, can hold about 111 GB. In my library right now there's 134 GB of music, that means there's about 4,000 songs currently not able to fit on my iPod and that number is increasing all the time. I've considered going for the 160 GB model but it'd probably be too small within 6 months. Someone needs to make a 250 GB MP3 player.

In answer to the question, I have 19,555 songs on my iPod and no videos. Genre-wise, I'd say there's a little of just about everything with the predominate genres being indie/alternative rock, folk, electronic and dance.

Bands: Fear Factory, KoRn, Unheilig, Metallica, Sybreed, Two steps from hell and some OST Composers like Brad Fiedel, James Venable, Christopher Drake, Mark Rutherford and others.

iPod

And on it there's vids, music, and computer backups because I also use this as an external hard drive.

A sad little Mp3 player with about 1.5 gb out of 2GB of AltRock, Anime and TV and one picture of my girlfriend.

I have a 16GB player from some random company called X4-Tech. It is filled with various Soundtracks, Medieval Rock, some Metal and several podcasts.

I un-jailbroke my iPod Touch because I realised that I don't need all the extra features that the jailbreak provides.

Creative Zen Vision:M White 30GB ("Pupcake"). Yeah, over a year, two close shaves, one drop and still alive. Guess I'm just very lucky. From what I read, very few of these ever survives beyond 6 months of use.

My albums according to WiMP11 (you don't really have much choice because it's a M$ PlaysForSure MTP device. Me? I decided to go with WiMP instead of the handful of alternatives because I already have it preinstalled).

i have this too!! it lasted 3 and a half years :] now, i have a samsung yp-p3. 32 gbs. its a touch screen. i love it!! cept i hate the program it uses. emodio sucks!! i have kpop, cpop, jpop, anime music, and english songs in there. love music <333333333

I use an 8 gig Touchscreen Memorex MP3 that can use an 8 gig SD Card, so technically it has 16 gigs.

In the MP3, I have mostly videogame albums; the rest is just videogame remixes. my problem is that 16 gigs just isn't enough. XD yeah, I have a lot of VG soundtracks. ^_^

I don't know if it's just mine, but the thing is sometimes annoying to work with. ever since I put in an SD card, I may need to hassle the silly thing to sync any music into it. generally, I just take out the SD card and then plug it back in, but it doesn't always work. oh well, not everything has to be easy, right?

A dumb ass Zune HD. So many damned program flaws, next to no support, no flash support, crappy internet browser,(with no forward page button), only supports Jpeg pics, not png, (wayyy better quality), etc etc. The only good thing, and the sole thing that tricked me into buying it, was it's coool colors, and sleek design. Ipod is just so boring... Anyway, it's loaded with anime and video game music, with some jazz, 80's rock, and hiphop/rap in it.

I have a 32gb zune hd that's close to being full.
The thing is amazing and hasn't left my side since I bought it in November. I love how over time it gets to know your taste and recommends new artists and when you put it on shuffle it plays songs based on genres and artists you've been listening to alot recently. Making your own games with friends for XNA is pretty rad too.
As for the music recently I've been listening to alot of shoegaze, electronic, dance, indie rock.

I have a 4th generation iPod Nano, if I remember right. It's only 8 GB, so I don't have much room.

My entire music library is random. I've got alternate rock, progressive rock, classic rock, video game OST's, some anime soundtracks, Touhou music remixes, techno, and various other genres.
I rarely even use my iPod because I'm at my computer so much that it's much more practical to just listen to music off my hard drive and the web.
The only thing I even use Youtube for now is music.

On my PC, I use good old reliable Winamp, with plugins for a multitude of obscure formats (mostly for game OSTs). I use it also for video playback as well.

As for when I'm out, I just use my PSP 3000 model with a 4gb memory stick for playing mp3s, as my old mp3 player died on me ages ago. As for what's on it, a wide selection of game music, classical, 80s rock, electronic/instrumental and others. I tend to go with individual tracks rather than whole albums though, as so many albums consist mostly of boring filler material with one or two 'good' tracks.

Also, I carry a cd case. No, seriously. It's not that I hate mp3 players so much as that Apple can rot in hell.

But then, my Motorola Droid's got a better mp3 player interface than any ipod anyway, and it's got speakers, yet most of its 16 gigs are empty. I've got about a 200 track 90s rock and trip-hop/electronic party mix on it, and that's it. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned. >_>

I also spend a lot of time while driving screaming Tom Waits' Anywhere I Lay My Head and Come On Up to the House at the top of my lungs, along with his Small Change album in its entirety. God help me.

I've got a Hifiman HM-801 with a handful of 32 gb sd cards. I have most of my 24 bit 96 khz vinyl rips on them, mainly from Tool, Pink Floyd, and some of my rips from Tommy Dorsey and others. I also have a LOT of vg music, all FLAC, from Sonic, Final Fantasy, Castlevania, Halo and others. I also have a lot of film scores, most of them in WAV and surround-sound format. It's about 23,000 songs in 290 gigs.

My current mp3 player is an 32GB Zune HD, and I got it 2 weeks ago at Best Buy in Concord Mills.

- Metal and rock music by Pantera (my fav. band), all Hatebreed albums, Death, Black Sabbath, Disturbed (not really my favorite, but I like them), Paramore (they're more modern-age alternative rock, but I like them), Collective Soul, AC/DC, Meshuggah, RHCP, Rage Against the Machine and many others.

I have an 8gb 4th Generation iPod Touch, filled to the brim with Basil Poledouris, Hans Zimmer, Jeremy Soule, Jesper Kyd, AC/DC, and Black Sabbath (Pre Dio years).

I have a 1GB Ipod shuffle knock-off that my neighbor gifted to me, and, right now I only have two tracks: One is a 25 minute recording of a rainforest thunderstorm, and the other is "An Ordinary Day", the opening track of James Horner's score to The Life Before Her Eyes.

I have a long transit to school, and I sleep on the bus. They help me relax.

Oh, I have a white Sansa Fuze+ 8GB model with 16GB SD card. One of the reasons is because in the EU all mp3 players are volume capped inc. Sony and Apple, but not so with the Sansa. I believe the sound quality on the Sansa is much better too.

Got an older iPod Classic (forget the gen), 80GB. Been reformatted twice so lost a lot of music. I actually use it for listening to podcasts mostly but also have my requisite J-Pop songs on there, as well.

Artists include: CoCo, ribbon, Chisato Moritaka, Princess Princess, Morning Musume, Masaharu Fukuyama and ZARD.

The Sansa Fuze made me want to kill my dog. Constant crashes and other stupid things. Went back to using the Creative Zen I had for two years that worked better than the Fuze ever did.
