What Is your favorite Controller from any game console

MINE
PS1 Without Dual Shock
(It was kind of a sleek design on the snes controller to me)

the SNES controller! i've said it a million times. the snes controller is the most perfect control for fighting games. just trust me on this. you can't pull off the hardcore stuff with psx like you can with snes.

I'm usually the obvious one in things of this nature, but Dual Shock 2.

The Wiimote is climbing the charts, though. Couldn't play RE4 w/o it :)

The Atari 5200 controller.

Fuck yeah.

I've grown rather fond of my N64 controller. At first I hated the damn thing but it grew on me after playing through Zelda: Oot.

I had a special N64 controller it was pretty sweet, it looked almost like a prototype Gamecube. I freaking loved the thing too, but it got stepped on and the joy stick got jammed >.<

The GameCube Controller wins by a landslide in my eyes. No single controller lay so good in my hands as that one. I love the shape of it, it's suposed to be ergonomically designed, well it works to be honest. It feels like a very natural position to have your hands in.

Second would be DualShock 2. Obviously from the PS2. It's pretty simple though very effective. Light in the hand and otherwise pretty good.

I'm with you on this one. It was so light and fits just right in my hand. The buttons were flawless.

I second the GameCube controller. Just thought i'd also add that my worst rated controller is the original X-box controller.

The Wiimote!

Yeah, I enjoyed it thoroughly with earlier games but after Metroid Prime 3 and Resident Evil 4/UC I was officially converted. Playing shooters with a regular controller almost seems tedious now...

Out of traditional controllers though, I'd have to say the DualShock 2. It's solid, fits my hands perfectly and the buttons are conveniently placed. Practical for just about any type of game.

My least favorite would probably be the NES controller. It's not really a problem now that my hands are larger but when I was younger the corners used to dig into my palms. A flat controller with angular edges? C'mon.

The SNES controller and the Game Cube controller for me. Got to love how Nintendo always tries out new designs for their new controller.

I'd have to say just the normal controller, for any system. Wireless, if possible.

Although playing Castlevania: Symphony of the Night with a DDR mat is hilarious.

I've always had a soft spot for the Dreamcast controller. I especially like the memory card and rumble slots in the front and triggers always seemed nice and responsive

I'll have to say the N64 controller or the first Xbox controller (that fat one).

The gamecube controller fits better than any controller that I have EVER held. But the 360 controller has my vote if I am playing guitar hero. Oh, and the sixaxis is amazing. I call it "Mr. Sixaxis" and I freak out whenever I touch one.

Dualshock2, definitely. Because there's more than enough buttons and controls to play arcade games with.

The Fighting Pad 6B for the Genesis comes awfully close as second tho. I found it the most usable when it come to fighting games.

The Wiimote is definately the best controller i played with... But all the good shooter don't come out for it so it runs out of competition. I have to take the ps3 controller here.

Xbox360 controller is the best. It goes perfectly with any game I've played and it is ideal for emulation on pc.

I've personally never enjoyed the N64 controller, not even after playing OoT.

Probably Gamecube. It just seems to fit in your hand so well and the buttons seem to be placed in good spots.

Dualshock 2. It's comfortable, the perfect amount of weight, and it is pretty much amazing for fighting games. Everything I ask for from a controller.

The 360 controller.. and my only complain is that the D pad sometimes feels out of sync.

The Creative Cobra 2 gamepad for PC would win the "Endurance" prize for staying alive after at least, 20 strong encounters with the wall during "crazy" gaming times. It never went KABOOM on me, unlike other pads..

Duak Shock 2 all the way, I think the Dual Shock motors make it balance really well and it sits in your hand very nicely, unlike the original PSX controller which was top-heavy on the R and L buttons.

Second to that is the SNES, ofc.

The GC one is very nice, but I don't own one myself so don't use it often.

What is wrong with you people?

Definitely the Nintendo 64 controller due to the menacing stance of "The Claw." This consists of putting the "R" button the palm of your hand and using the bottom of your thumb muscles to control the "C-Buttons" and the rest of the fingers can fight over the "Z" button.

Very intimidating when you see such a grasp in a game of Goldeneye.

The Saturn 6-button controller is, by far, the best controller I've ever used. Everything about it is perfect.

Among traditional controller types, the 360 hands down, although the gamecube comes a close second (even though they're practically the same controller). The wiimote, of course, is in a class of its own.

I don't understand all the dualshock love, though. I think it would be fine if the dpad and analog stick on the left switched positions, but the way it is now, any game that requires you to use analog for movement is way too uncomfortable.

This is hard since every controller has flaws.

The Cube controller fit wonderfully. I liked the 4 face buttons (ABXY) and the way it fit just about anyone's hands. I didn't like how small (and therefore nearly useless) the C-stick was. If it was the same as the left-analog, that would've been great.

The DualShock2 was great for the 4 shoulder buttons, analog sticks and facebutton placement. My problem with it is that the "handles" (the parts that extend into your palms) were never large enough. It was an ergonomics problem.

The 2nd Xbox controller was great except for the white/black buttons being kinda hard to access.

The 360 Controller is probably my favorite, but I wish the LB/RB were a little bigger and the "handles" extended a little further.

For most of my games I always use both of the analogue sticks and the d-pad quite a bit less often, and don't think it's uncomfortable to use both analogue sticks. Maybe I've just gotten used to it over time, but I suppose everyone's hands are different as well.
