Right now I'm on my way to Ispana (sp?) Castle on the Fogotten Continent. I just got Garnet back, but she's only at level 36 while everyone else is in the high 40's or 50's. I'm looking for a good place to level up, but this forgotten continent isn't doing to well....

Any suggestions?

On the world map, probably the ledge by draguerro. Those dragons give alot of experience.

You can also fight Grand Dragons on a ledge near Treno, and that's all that will appear. It's really good if you have Quina with LV5 death, that kills them all instantly. If you kill everyone except Quina, (s)he gets a LOT of experience with every battle. Then you can revive someone else and give Quina the Zombie status so that all the experience goes to the next person! If you're worried about Quina losing all her HP, just equip her with something that absorbs lightning damage, since even characters in Zombie status can absorb magic.

what about oilvert. when you encounter a statue just smash on it with weakest character. then somebody jumps out. and if you do that three times you will get around 7500 exp. and with the level up you will recieve around 11000 exp. end it is a lot easier then these dragons.

That works, but it takes a lot longer and you only get 3/5 the experience. It's a lot faster with the dragons: LV5 death and you're done.

Lately, I've been fighting dragon's near the grotto (got there with the Hilda Garde). Is this good, and should I keep doing this?

if you want to level up kind of early, when you are in the gargen roo the crawler's make for alot of exp.

IF you want to gain Exp, fast you should head for
Vile Island which is the big island to southwest of the lifa tree,
you will encounter Yans that give you 12000+ EXP to all 4 characters, and the mostly come in 2s and 3s so that gives you about 20000+ EXPs and Faster to reach Level 99 than the grand dragons(the grand dragons are good in leveling up early in the game).

But take note that the yans can kill you with one attack,
and the mostly use snort, and comet that couses 6000+ damage and the can attack three times in a row.

I've got a good way to level up each character. When you're in Memoria, go to the place called "Timewarp" (a place where you walk past a ticking clock), there you can fight Behemoth and Stilva. If you've given 3 of your characters Virus status, 1 of the characters will get all the experience. So if you equip level up ability, you'll receive about 75000 exp. every battle.

yes that is what you should continue to do until you get a gold chocobo or the Invincible, and the abilities that you need in order to beat the Yans in two attacks unless you get lucky and Odin kills them................I usually fight Yans to level up.

Edit: I forgot to add that it leveled me (meaning every character in my party) up about 20 times in about 2 hours.

Before you enter Ipsen's Castle go to Dali and buy all the weakest weapons. Equip everyone with them and go to Ipsen's castle. When yo enter go and run against the pillars in the first room. Make sure all characters know auto-reflect. When a gargoyle and the magic creature that comes with it come into a fight with you use Stona or soft on the gargoyle, it will kill it imediately. now attack the Agares with normal attacks. it only uses magic which will help kill it quickly. You can also do this when Zidane goes back into the castle to get Amarant.
