(Responding to an awful idea on another board to show the identity of people who filed moderation reports against you...)

Huh? What's a moderation report?

On this particular board, if somebody posts a message that is outside the site's Terms of Service, you can select to moderate it. The report, based on the info you selected, is sent directly to the site's team of moderators, who act appropriately.

The idea, an awful one, was to show to the person that's moderated who it was that filed the report against them.

Ahh...

Ugh, that dialogue about Cloud being weak was one of the worst-written parts of FFVII.

So basically it's a non-anonymous warn system. What possible reason could they have to implement that?

And yeah, people who think it's cool to work the dialog of their favorite characters into their posts like that are unfortunately quite common. I've seen people who end every single fucking line with ellipsis's to try and act like Squall.

Squall fankids are the very worst, IMO.

There are worse, actually. One of the forums I visit has a member who thinks he's V and will randomly post in-character for no reason.

No, I don't know who reported him -- apparently he's received around six violations in the three months he's been on those boards. The thread itself didn't really have to do with his violations, it just had to do with showing people who were given violations who it was that reported them. An idea that pretty much everyone on the board except the person who started the topic and this user have agreed is awful, because it doesn't serve any purpose other than for people to harass people who reported them.

I guess it would be counterproductive to ask for the thread name then..

Oh, you can have it if you really want it, I'm just not sure how interesting anyone here would find it. It's on an entirely different board that doesn't really have anything to do with Final Fantasy.
