Oh, this is good stuff. I was let down by the soundtrack to Blue Dragon and all its silliness. I can imagine that if Uematsu had scored Final Fantasy XII rather than Hitoshi Sakimoto, this is what it would have sounded like.

I agree. getting away from SquareEnix and Final Fantasy must have been a relief for both Uematsu and Sakaguchi. I think Blue Dragon was fantastic, music and game wise, and Lost Odyssee looks and sounds great as well. I can't wait to play it.

Lost Odyssey's soundtrack is mindblowing. One of Uematsu's best by far.

I downloaded it and it appears those tracks are on there,

Hmm.. okay. I don't know why they weren't there for me. I'll try downloading it again then.

I used the link Anatar provided and those tracks were on there.

I also have problems with the Disk 1 and 2 WinRar files. The tracks are in the WinRar file and you can play them directly from the .rar but once you try to extract them they don't get saved on the hard drive.

You might want to try extracting the whole folder FFBob42, i.e Disk 1 and Disk 2. It worked for me then, it should work for you too.

First off, thanks to the Uploader for sharing this fantastic soundtrack! I had been looking in a bunch of different places, and was a about to give up when I landed here! Thanks again!

Next, I do believe that this and most of Umatesu's work is a prime example of the need to have some sort of recognition or award for video game composers. This soundtrack was amazing, and without even experiencing the game yet, warrants multiple listenings. so when a composer can do that to a listener, I believe that they should receive their proper recognition for it. So here's to Umatesu, and all the other great video game composers out there!

This great sound track, both these games "Blue Dragon" and "Lost Odyssey" just prove that Nobou is god no matter what machine he is on. If you want you can request songs from either at the station if you cant get them. I play the whole soundtracks at night from time to time.

I really like it so far. I'm only on the first disk, but I'm totally going to buy it when I can (I'm renting it right now). It's very much a JRPG, so if you don't like Final Fantasy you won't really have anything to draw you to this one. I personally love the short stories that happen sporadically when Kaim recollects some of his memories, though some people think they're kind of hamfisted. The load times are fine by me, especially when you think about how they're loading a metric shit-ton of information at once. They're only as bad as people say occasionally, like for a very lengthy cutscene, but overall they never go over 5 to 10 seconds. Good times overall, very very pretty. Not earth-shakingly revolutionary, but a really solid game nevertheless. Great soundtrack too.

I think the game derserves more praise. I really hope it gets the sales it needs. I've been waiting for years to play it, and now I have it(Beat the game already)

That's because you spend a lot of time mastering all of the skills you have. If it weren't for that, this game would be a very short game. I'm not a hater... I love the game completely. Otherwise I wouldn't even be playing it. Just leaving my opinion on the game behind as I leave. Again, I love the game and can't wait to find out more about it as I play.

I mentioned this in the other LO thread - but it sounds like this album is missing the battle track that plays during the Numara fights against the general. I thought that was a bit weird, since it was a full-orchestra piece and not an easily missable synth track. Anyone got that track?

If anyone could find those other tracks and renamed the OST in English that would be great. Even if someone were to make a .BAT that would rename the tracks that would be do-able. I just can't figure out these Japanese names for the life of me...

Well, I completed the first disc in 17:30 hours, and I didn't spend any time grinding my levels. I only searched everywhere really carefully.

The game is probably short if you rush in. Otherwise, it is as long as any regular JRPGs.

As I keep saying to everyone here, I don't use any kind of noob guides to help me find everything (the thing, I would guess, that made you realise about that name plate from the beginning...).

No i realised i missed it because on the third disc you can buy auctioned items that you've missed in the places you've been to

Fact is once you get to disc 4 a crapload of side quests open up. Disc 1 to 3 is simply a well paced progression through the plot and the introduction and implementation of all the charachters you eventually end up with in your party.

Disc 4 is for exploring, adventuring, levelling and getting all the best items and skills for your party - ready for the pretty epic final confrontation (quite reminiscent of the Sephiroth battle in FFVII!)

Oh and yes, the soundtrack is fantastic, particularly on the dream sequences (which I thought were very well written).

Nobuo has not gone "downhill" at all in my opinion.

I think it's a good OST, I enjoyed with all the songs :3

honestly, i just think he was bored writing final fantasy shit all the time. I think blue dragon and lost odyssey are his best works since FF9. What i love about these two latest releases, I can tell he's not sticking to general midi sound modules anymore. I hear quite a few new sound sources all over these albums and i love it.

Usually when people have problems with passwords it's because they copy spaces when they copy it from the webpage, try copying to notepad then copy from that making sure you don't copy any spaces and then it will probably work or you could be crazy and actually try typing it. If its not a password problem then apologizes.

Anyway to convert these bad boy tracks into mp3's? Or can you directly download them onto a CD? Just curious, i'm a n00b when it comes to that kind of stuff ^^
