Hello there, is it just me or are songs in general so much sadder and depressing in the english translation than in original.

I mean for example the Final Fantasy IX "Melodies of Life". In japanese hopeful and wishful in english total depressing.

Another example is the difference of the kingdom Hearts songs. Both of them have totally different meanings.

Or the english version of "pray" from Digital Devil Saga 1.

Do you know more songs where this happened? Or where the translation somehow lost it's meaning?
