I'm still tweaking with my system to get the best quality...I amplified a couple of these tracks to see if that would effect the quality of them...For some reason the volume of the music track in A.c is lower...a hair bit more then KaL....So some tracks might be served by the once over....

Its the same one as escape 1, you just didn't get all of it yet. Acess the animus is ttoal of 9 min long and it is a combination of calmsuspense and action.
You only got 6minutes out of the 9 minute track, maybe in another variation you will cap the full thing.
BTW do you think you can also include the sound of the animus machine whirring when you select your dna, i like that sound, i don't mind if it has lucy's typing over it i just liek that machine humm.

Some might be pretty easy to loop. I think you can do it with that free Audacity music editing program.
Availible here:

It lets you edit and cut, etc with music tracks so Im assuming you can loop or copy, cut, paste around with the audio track.

And he wasn't much of a fight either. I found Robert and his men to be MUCH more frustrating.
I actually beat them all straight up with my sword, but for some reason when I took out my hidden blade to assassinate Robert, he fell into a memory glitch and I did too, and even though I stabbed him I also died and didn't get the credit. Was really frustrating. Took maybe 20 tries before I beat that part, whereas the whole Assassin level took one try. :)
and what the FUCK was with that ending? Biggest cliff-ender since God of War II.

I hope in the next game desmond escapes from the lab and he becomes an assassin himself in the modern world, but in the beginning of the game he has to first go into the animus and do some missions as altiar so he can fully be synch with him and obtain all his abilities, then once he's ready he is going to have to assassinate abstergo leaders and go from the ground up, meanwhile altier has found a way to communicate to desmond via memory because of his synch with him. Then he helps him along the way of defeating abstergo.
Interesting sequel?

Don't. I didn't figure it out until I was really frustrated and wanted to try and stab them with it. It's really effective too against Templers.
I hope they go through with the trilogy installment for both videogames and novels. It's ridiculously hard to find compelling Crusade books that are also accurate.

VERY interesting. I thought something similar, but I don't see why he'd want to defeat them. They seem like a weak 'boss'.
I like how the Assassin's were trying to reach Desmond, and yet while that whole commotion was going on, they somehow had lots of time to sleep and shit. Maybe there's more to Abstergo than we think.
It's kind of obvious that he's going to turn into one. I mean, how can you explain him obtaining the Eagle Eye ability in his time? All that synchronizing with Altair has given him some of his abilities, and the more he does it, the more he's going to turn into an assassin.
and for the people who haven't beaten it yet... uhh... SORRY!

The story was great. Kept me going and wondering what was going to happen. Although the ending was becoming a little obvious at a certain point, but that's fine. As for the repititivity, that's only for those who are going for the achievements. You could just do the three informer missions (and a couple of viewpoints so they will appear on your map) and head straight to the assassination, but I did everything because it was genuinly fun. No idea how people found it repititive though. The same people are saying Grand Theft Auto is better. Like GTA isn't at all repititve.
Here we finally have a game that's doing something different, and they set the bar extremely high as far as good looking free-roaming games go.
As for the novel, do you know when it's out? I heard several rumors like they cancelled it and am worried that it's not coming out at all. There's a Gears of War novel coming in August, can't wait for that too.

Pocket Books had announced it was planning to novelize Assassin’s Creed in a trilogy, written by Steven Barnes. However, the series has reportedly been cancelled.[11] The title of the first book would have been Assassin’s Creed Book One: The Invisible Imam, and would have detailed events leading up to the beginning of the game.

If you watch the beginning of the game, the very first scene with Desmond, the doctor says you are an assassin and desmond says: "Im not an assassin, not any more." Doctor: "yes your file indicated as much, something about an escape, lucky for us" So he already is or was an assassin, at least thats what Im getting from it, but who knows maybe he'll somehow fuse into almost two personalitys, Desmond and Altair making him into someone/something else.

Hey. Been wanting this OST for quite a while now...really glad you're doing this.
But, I have a question. And yes, it's probably a dumb one since I'm new to this whole scene: what exactly is a 'game rip?'
syoaranx
01-14-2008, 04:32 AM
it means someone has taken the time to (useally) play the whole game and record the audio. Depending on who/how, the quality can range from beautiful seemless records that took a lot of time to make - to a cheap mic duck tapped infront of a mono speaker ^^.
Thanks for taking the time to make the rip - theres a ton of music that was never published on what was one of the greatest soundtracks of 2007 =)
OrangeC

Secondbooths quality of AC is really great, now mic involved, just a soundcard and recording skills.

That's what I thought it meant, but I was sure I was wrong 'cause, good lord, that would take forever.
Kudos to you, sir. I've been lookin' around on torrents and the rest of the webs trying to find this OST...apparently, for all video game music needs, I should just come here instead.
Which I shall start doing. :-D

Whats your upload speed?
Secondtooth
01-17-2008, 01:32 AM
While we wait for part 2 to finish uploading...i figured that i would bore you with a few notes pertaining to the rip...
1. i decided to organize the files in a more user friendly way...Originally i was going to sort be relative location.id est, all songs occurring in or around a given city would go into a file...for example..All files whether a battle track, a horse ride, a city theme..etc..Would go into the same file under the city that applied..but i figured it would be a lot easier to group the songs according to the catagory..because lets face it, if you want to hear all the horse ride tracks of A.C...you would have to go to each city and sort through all the tracks to find the one you were looking for..and then have to do the same for the other several tracks...not the end of the world i know...but grouping by type I feel is the best.
2.All regular battle tracks i deiced to name "fight or flight". now you will notice that there are two parts to each fight or flight track..Red in the face and yellow belly...to be clear on what the deal is with this....red in the face is the music that plays when you are actively fighting guards or when they are hot on your heels, with you right in their line of sight...Your triangle is flashing red..yellow belly is the track that plays when you are still being chased..but the line of sight of the guards have been broken...your triangle is flashing yellow..
Ok it looks like part two is all done so here you go
Part 2

All right one more note, the tracks listed as dirty deeds..this is the music that plays when you are performing the tasks in a city for info..pick pocket..easedrop and follow (not fight) but when you follow a person to interrogate..the same music plays...hence i titled them dirt deeds..
OrangeC

Let me point out that its said because i was playing this with my dad the other day and when he entered jerusalem i was so entrailed by the opening music and i said: wow such beatiful cool music. my dad gave me a weird look and im like: don'tcha think? Then hes like: maah im just excited by the graphics and gameplay.
Its sucks that even the most hardcore gamers overlook the music just because they don't deem it cool enough.

True true. I wonder how the official releases of Kane and Lynch and AC will stack up against these rips....I tend to like gamerips better, for example the Jericho Gamerip >>>> Jericho limited CD release...by a long shot imo. But Im a bigger fan of in game ambient style beat type tracks.

Is there any way that the individual tracks can be listed on the Galbadia Hotel pages like the rest? I can't access the A.C. OST from here.
Also, has anyone started the Manhunt 2 gamerip yet?

Thank you so, so, so, SO much for posting this up. You've made my day... week...
It was getting just the slightest bit annoying having to re-play the game just to hear the music blasted up on the t.v.
Thank you so much for spending the time to do this.

The sheer desire to have this OST made me sign up for the forums! I kinda like it here too!
I would actually purposefully draw out being chased just because I wanted to hear the escape music, it always set my heart racing and no other game has managed that with me before!
Thankyou so much Secondtooth, I can now listen to it from my ipod instead of risking my Assassin butt! Also, the quality is just amazing! I wouldn't even know the first thing about ripping, especially off the xbox, I'm more of a computer kinda gal...even then, I wouldn't have a clue...
Just as alittle contribution, here is the album artwork that I made a little while back, when I first downloaded those few tracks of the official website. Maybe some of you can put it to good use ^_^ I scanned it and edited it from my artbook.

this game was so much fun. collecting the flags wasn't, but the game itself was very enjoyable, if a bit repetitive.

I can't believe I haven't moved this to the download section yet. I might as well do it now then.
Thanks for the rip. It's seriously fantastic. :)
EDIT- Might I suggest adding all the links to your original post? I'd make it much easier for people. Thanks!

Is this in FLAC? Is that why it's split into 6 parts?
Or is it mp3? Asking 'cos I can't play FLAC and would love to get my hands on this?
Thanks.

Awesome job Secondtooth. The sound quality is great and Jespers music is unbelievable. The artwork looks also very amazing. I havent played this game but i can imagine how good Jespers music fits to this game.
