I just got this game, and I'm really enjoying it.
First of all, there are a lack of games with a female lead (only Tomb Raider comes to mind).
Secondly, The interaction with the Dragon Arock is very unique, and solidifies your belief in this "other wordly" setting.
Thirdly, There are tons of side-quests that I actually enjoy doing - and unlike FF, they aren't semi-mandatory. (In other words, if you don't do the side-quests it really doesn't kill your game).
Anyone else have an opinion?

Well to me it really doesn't matter if a male or female is the leading character. More important is the game: r the controls thought out carefully, r the graphics good, how is the sound, gameplay is very important playing a game that only takes 6hours to complete and has nothing more to offer like multiple endings then I wouldn't buy the game and most important the story of a game. I don't know if U played the first Drakan but it was a ame that was very enjoable, though it was hard at sometimes I really wanted to know how it ended. I'm busy now with Drakan: the ancients gate like u and the controls r good the graphics r ok (I've seen better) and the sound effects r good, the gameplay is good enough that if I'd finish the game I surely would play it again.
i hope this awnsers ur question.

You're right I wouldn't play a lame game just because it had a girl in it (I don't think anyone would). This game has awesome graphics, and has gotten good reviews - the sound effects in particular are very detailed - and the music is excellent. I just meant that the point of an RPG is to "live" the role. As a woman, I just like it better when I'm a woman in the game. That way, I'm not some guy after a girl - and checking other girl's out and stuff.
Ya, you answered my question (which was "what is your opinion?"). Apparently it's not a very popular game - only one person has an opinion.

I played it and thought it was nice, but I got quite mad at the 12 levels max thing, I couldnt equip any good weapon because I tried to balance my levels, so I got fed up.

I really didn't care about the lvl 12 max thingie cuz there r alot more game with an experience point cap. For instant take the Baldurs gate series, in Baldurs Gate II there is a cap of 2.950.000 and that allows u to reach lvl 23 max (depending on ur character class). In Pool of Radiance there is a max lvl of 16. So the max lvl really doesn't matter for the game when u miss nothing cuz of it. If there some abilities in this game if there were any abilities u could gain by getting higher levels there wouldn't be an exp cap limit.
