i personally think that FFVII is the best in its series. FFVIII had to much graphics, and im not a graphic player at all, i like ffI better than FFVIII. and FFIX was really good, i would say thats the 3rd best. and FFX just kicked ass, but i was a little dissipointed at how easy Nemisis was. off topic, sorry. anyway, everyone else is saying that "this is the greatest one for the graphics", and "this one is cuz of this, and that". i personally think that FFVII was the best for a lot of reasons.

1. the storyline just wooped on all the others
2. Sepheroth
3. chocobo breeding and racing
4. all the meteria combos was cool
5. Omnislash
6. Cloud and Sepheroth fight, one on one
7. not to many vids (like in FFX and FFVIII)
8. Aries death, th only one with a death, it just totaly spiced it all up.

im not saying i dont like the others, i like them all, i am like the biggest FF fan in the world.

those are my reasons, if anyone wants to pick a fightwith me about it, bring it

but this time have 8 limit break instead of 7 for each characters and have some new ones of course

remodell the summons and limit breaks so they look even better
eg. Armageadon Slash for cloud or something or sephiroth

make sep a playable character and revive aries like it was on the original one but this time they battle the Cetra instead of just sephiroth and jenova

I think FF7 is the best game ever.I love it so much that in the future I'm going to name my kids after the characters.I even have the FF7 soundtrack.And I've even made a Final Fantasy kick @$$ card game.I wonder if there will be a Final Fantasy 40.I bet there will be... :D :D :D

We all know that an FF7 game would be fun to play, but I personally (although this is hard to say because I REALLY WANT TO PLAY IT) would like it better if Square refrained from making an FF7 sequal. It'll ruin it guys, I'm telling ya. They can't keep it up like that - why soil a good memory? Of course, if they made it I'd buy it and play it a hundred times over. And of course, if ever asked which FF game is most deserving of a sequal, I'll say FF7.

Precisley! As Cloud said, graphics don't mean jack when it comes to good games...FF7 is all about storyline and gameplay! 7 is definetely the best. 9 is tied with it, and if not tied, VERY close behind, for the same reasons. ('Cept you have to love 9's FMV's....very advanced).

FF7 is the best PS1 game of the series I will agree about. but not of the whole series. it is the 3rd best. and Graphics are good for 5 minutes then the f**cin Game had Better ROCK.

I absolutely love FF7. I just started playing it again a few weeks ago, but my friend wanted to borrow my Disc 1 so I'm still only 4 hours into it. Sephiroth is the best bad guy in all the FF games, and even though it made me really sad, the death of a party member was very unique for a FF game. It was just the best! ^_^

I just love the game, u just cry when Aeris dies (I did) u really live up with Cloud and u sympathise even Sephirtoh.

Oh, I totally cried when Aeris died. I've only played 7 and 8, but I thought 7 was definitely better.

i have nothing to hide, i cried to when aeris died. and i get emotional when i play them for the first time, but i dont care what anyone thinks, im an emotional guy, and i idmite it.

I think FF VII is sooooooooooo totally kewl! And I do have a confession, no I did'nt cry when Aeris die's BUT I did'nt laugh my head off like I normally do, perhaps I starting to like Aeris, when I think about it I did use Aeris more than I usually do!

Of the four I've played so far (VI - IX), VII is the best. VIII was all graphics, dedicated to one storyline alone, and didn't hold my attention because I couldn't really associate with the main evil character too much (Ultimecia crept up outta no-where.) IX was pretty good, but Kuja wasn't your main evil guy. I was really into Kuja's growing insanity, but then Necron appears out of no-where, and I haven't tried to play through the game after completing it. Normally, I play a FF game through twice at least, but I can't get into the game.

VII was mind-blowing. I've written posts in the Final Fantasy VIII forum about why FF VIII isn't as good as FF VII, and I'm too lazy to write it here aswell. Maybe if I get bored, I'll link you to it. Let's just say that VII is the best for now (until I get back to playing VI and make a fair judgement of that game.)

FFVII is by far the best FF out there I have all of them for PS(1-2). It has awesome characters in it and it has a great story to it. FFVIII was good but not as good. IX is just to damn confusing for me. FFX is definately the second best of all of um I've played so far. But thats I have to say about.

7 was ok, but i like 8,9 and 10 better

try FF 4-6. Man If you do not mind the older Cheesy graphics and lack of FMV's then guess what, the Story Lines Are alot Better. and to think that If you buy both FF Chronicles and FF anthologies then Guess what folks? Chrono Trigger is also included in the Chronicles pak. and It was the Best Non FF game on the old SNES.:)

It might just be me, but I think the story lines from 4-6 are lacking compared to 7. Far too linear and straight forward, especially FF5.

Oh FF5 is definitely just go from point A to point B kind of story.

But 6 I just cant deny its storys greatness and if I had to decide from 7 and 6 I couldnt. But PTMs theories make FF7's story seem a lot more interesting.

FF7 is the best game ever made, everything about it makes it that way, story line, everything, when Aeris died I stopped playing it for a week because I was so depressed.
