mine is cid,cloud,barret. its the best.
sometimes i'd use vincent but hes not as good.
all my characters are pretty good and its actually quite hard to pick a party because i don't want to leave anyone out.

I don't have a permanent party, I use all my characters (except Cait Sith XD) through the game:o

I train all my characters up equally, but my strongest are probably Cid and Vincent. Red XIII too.

I use Cloud, Red XIII, and Tifa. I just like their Level 4 Limit Breaks. They are cool.

My party is Cloud, Tifa, Cid. Wish I could get rid of Cloud though, because he sucks.

That's not true. Barret is a good example of a Lv4. Limit that does more than 10,000 pts. of damage. Yuffie's "All Creation" is equally as powerful.

Yuffie's All Creation can only do 9999 to everyone, it's not the best limit she has. Doom of teh Living is the best since if you get her really strong, it'll do 9999 for like 18 hits!!! Better then Omnislash... Also Cid's Highwind (limit) is the best, no doubt about it. Plus he's my fav. guy.

Hmm, lets see I've beaten the game a good 4 times so heres all my teams

1. Cloud, Vincent, Cid. Omnislash, um whatever Vincents final Limit is, and HighWind. Kind of a hard time, had no master materias and levels were kind of low.

2. Cloud, Cid, Yuffie. Omnislash, High Wind, Doom of the Living. Lots easier, had atleast 1 of every master materia. Good levels, great limits.

3.Cloud, Vincent, Yuffie. Just like last time with all the limits. Same materias but some different ones equiped, even better levels.

4. Cloud, Vincent, Cid. Same as first time. had master materia's, mastered enemy skill materia. All level 99, had a hard time with Safer Sephiroth though.

All in all team #3 made the game easiest (Can u say Doom of the Living rulz?) but #4 was my strongest and that is my input!

My party is Cloud,Tifa, and Vincet.

If I had my choice from all nine playable characters, then my party would be...

Cloud, Aeris and Tifa.

Cloud for the all powerful physical ass kicking attacks, Aeris for her healing limit breaks and magical prowess, Tifa for the combination of the two.

Then, after Aeris' death, I would revert to the team of Cloud, Tifa and Red XIII. Red's always been one of my favourite characters, and used to have Tifa's place in the party on the first disk. I then grew to like Tifa's combinational limits, so used her instead.

Of course in 1st disk,i used Aeris instead of Vince.I know,most of you guys hate Yuffie(well,about stealing materia etc...)but she's a good-balanced char,she has good limits(except All creation....it's rather weak compared to the other Limit break 4)and good stats.Vincent has powerful L.B,but his weak point is that you can't control him while he's transformed.

i use them all for different situations but as for the main ones i use through the game are Cloud RedXIII Aeris(till she dies) then i replace her with Vincent which is my weapon fighting party(dosnt count diamond or ultima)... for morphing monsters into sources i use Cloud RedXIII and Yuffie(with her ultimate weapon) when I levil up materia i use Cloud RedXIII and Cid(Cloud and Cid have their 3-slot-triple-growth-weapons)When im stealing i use Cloud RedXIII and Tifa. The best setup is whith Cloud Barret and Cid because their final limits are soo similar you can finish emerald in less than a minute with these 3 characters if you have their limit bars filled up before you inter the battle.

The first time i beat the game i used Cloud, Yuffie, and Cid but my second party, which i like better, is Red XIII, Cloud, and Tifa.

All ultimate weapons and cloud had all the master materia, not much point in putting it on vincent when i would be using chaos :)

my favorite characters are usually the ones that i use throughout the entire game (cloud 99, cid 99, and vincent 99)
-they just look bad-ass...
but vincent's limit break always gets himself killed (so that sucks...)
barret's ungarmax (supposed to be gunarmax i'm pretty sure) is his best limit break when his strength status is maxed out from power sources
tifa's limit breaks are always cool, because you always get a long series of hits each time (and when you max her out on power sources, you don't always have to get a 'yeah!' bar for every attack to get 9999, thus reducing the risk of getting a 'miss' when you can just get a 'hit' or 'yeah!' (they should have a 'hell yeah!')
-gawd, i wish aeris didn't have to die, her great gospel was sooo cool, i would have E A S I L Y beaten emerald and ruby weapon!!!
there's no other way to gain invincibility like that anywhere else in the game
yuffie's all creation limit break was a huge let down! her doom of the living totally kicked far more ass (especially when maxing out on power sources as well)
cait sith's once-in-a-lifetime 'instant vicotry' is how i beat emerald weapon (i can't believe that i lived to see the day!!!)

so i'm thinking that if you have 35, then he might attack 35 times...?

cid's final limit break, highwind, is alright (max out with those power sources of course too)


mainly, i just can't make up my mind on who's limit breaks are the best, so i am usually switching back and forth with my party

I usually end up with Cloud, Cid, and Vincent, and the only time I actually switch is when you have to. For example, when you have to take a member somewhere, like Aeris and the Temple of the Ancients, and Red XIII in that cave in Cosmo Canyon. Never have gotten all limits though, but I usually get their best weapons.

The team I beat Emerald Weapon with is my best, which is Cloud, Barrett, and Tifa. Their levels were all in the 70's and 80's. I guess ability wise I could pick a better team, but these are my favorite characters in the game so I usually use them unless I'm leveling someone up.

My party is almost always Cloud, Yuffie and Cid. Cloud because you have to have him, Yuffie because she's my girlfriend and has cool limit breaks and Cid because he's hilarious and has a cool L4 Limit as well.

Hummm My new Fav Party seems to be Cloud, Tifa and Cid. Tifas Limit rocks.....It jus totally levels the bosses. I was Lv 60 when I got the bottom of the creator and 9999 hp on all, attacks around 7000-9000.

Cloud, Red, and Vincent....these ARE the best characters.
