Well I suppose I ended up answering my own request that I created some time ago: Thread 36199

I just started ripping my own soundtracks a few days prior to this post when I discovered some soundtracks simply wouldn't fall in my lap. It also gives me a chance to pay back the community from which has given me so much.

Anyway, here it is, a direct rip of the Samurai Shodown V Special (Samurai Spirits Zero special in Japan) game.

They should be the same as the first game, since they're recycled. However, nether of these games received official soundtracks so there is no way to verify for certain. They sound identical, so I'll go with my gut and say "yes".

EDIT: I checked, and some are slightly different. Mina's stage doesn't have the 'chatter' in the background, and Kusaregedo's SSZ stage was more ambiance; its a full BGM in Special. Everything else is identical. And there are a few new stages (in the temple, bridge) that are mostly ambiance.

Well I'm not sure why you keep asking that. That music is from Samurai Spirits Zero, not Special. The Level BGM is not present in this title.

Probably something to do with my not knowing of a location/even existance of a SS5 /0 thread, something to do with my thinking I could reach out for help from people I took to be fellow Samurai Shodown/video games music enthusiasts despite it not being the exact right thread, who knows �.�

The soundtrack for SSZ was released as disc 5 of the Samurai Spirits NEO GEO Collectors BOX. It was also released in "Samurai Spirits Tenkaichi Kenkakuden - Zero no Maki"; it is a 3 CD set and has the Original NEO GEO Soundtrack and PS2 soundtrack.
As for SSZ Special, there have not been releases on CD and there are no Arranged versions since the game wasn't released in any other console rather than NG/MVS

SCDC-00338 was indeed canceled due to the poor performance of SSZ at the arcades, ironically was released twice later.

So, there really isn't an AST for Special after all huh? The OST is just as good. I've been wanting to hear that ambient theme from the temple shrine, which I'm guessing is Zankuro's stage from the game. That is some good ambience there.

At last i find what i have been searching for
(in other words, what we can say arranged it's the same as PSX type)
O.K then i have samurai Shodown III and IVfor PSX, the music from it is the same as the arranged III and Samurai Shodown X(the same as arranged IV)
I'll go search for the full SSV for PSX and rip the music :P
