Does the game ever explain how Kuja got hold of the Hilda Garde? I can't remember and it's driving me nuts.

after Hilda turned Cid into an Oglop she ran off on the Highwind 1( i mean Hilda Garde) and Kuja found the ship and commandeered it. i think it was part of his master scheme and hilda was just unexpected...i think
