I hear ya. I love the score during the campfire meditation scene in the first movie. Five or six years ago, I had tried to remove the sfx and voices from the audio track of that scene by removing the central channel in a audio editing program after finding out about someone using the program to make sfx and voice free tracks of all the score in Balto (more than commercial CD has). He had them on-line for people to enjoy and I was impressed how he made them and I thought I'd try using the program with other film audio tracks. Well, with that meditation scene the sfx and voices could still be heard faintly after editing it in the program and I eventually learned that with some films' audio tracks you can't remove the central channel and be left with lossless score.

There is a version with some of the cues, with the F/X echoing in the background (except for the apartment fight, which seems to be free of all F/X), but it is missing some of my favorite cues from the film, including their return to New York, the bit where the Foot soldiers hop down into the sewer for the final battle, and the battle in the sewer intercut with Casey at the warehouse. It's better than nothing, but I'd be interested in a complete score, even with F/X.
