im Eran and im new in this game and forum.

i have joinned here because im looking for some help in the game.

i have downloaded the game FinalFantasy VII , and it went smood but when i opened the game it showed me a question
"new game"
"continue"
i cant press on continue but every time i press on new game the screen just goes black and no image is showen

do i need to download some patch for XP or something?

can you guys help me plz? i realy want to play.

Never heard of this particular problem, but there is a patch for XP (http://www.sofotex.com/Final-Fantasy-VII-XP-Patch-download_L5052.html) that you'll need to download for other issues the game has. It might fix this problem as well, otherwise it could just be that the disks you downloaded were corrupt.

if i dont see any company logos or anything is it possible i dont have any of the requirments? (dont know how to spell it)

what do i need for the game?

If that's really the only thing you see without anything before it, then it could be that the FMVs (movie scenes) aren't working for some reason. Not really sure why that would happen sorry. Could be your computer, could be corrupt game disks. I suggest looking online for the system requirements of the game and making sure you meet the minimum requirements. If that's all fine, it's probably a disk error which unfortunately the only way to solve would probably be to re-download the disks from a different source.

now i reinstaleld the game and its writing :

plz insert game cd 1 2 or 3 and try again (at the patch exe)

You have downloaded the game disks as well as the install files right? Because if not that explains a lot.

i have downloaded this 12 files , and extracted from them the install folder you can see in the other img.

after pressing on the install it installed all the files and thats it... (afterwards installed the xp patch and thats it)

For some reason it won't let me view the attachment as anything larger then 150 x 126 so it's hard to make out what files are there. Would you be able to list the file names or upload it to photobucket or something?

EDIT: Apparently you've already uploaded it to image shack. Not sure why it appears so small then.

I have downloaded:
MYNEWGAMEVII.part01 (part02 part03...part12) - all rar files.

from there extracted the FinalFantasy folder who has:
XP patch folder
Setup.exe
Setup-1 (BIN FILE)
Setup-2 (BIN FILE)

you need to see the files installed aswell?

The setup there is completely different to the version I had. Mine consisted of CD Images which I just loaded with daemon tools. I can't really tell if anything is missing, since it seems to be in a no-CD format like you said.

Since the 'insert disk 1, 2 etc" message didn't appear before you installed the XP patch it's possible that there are issues using the patch with a no-CD version of the game. There isn't really a whole lot I can suggest beyond using google to find a crack or something to fix the problem I'm afraid.

I downloaded mine off some P2P network (think it was eDonkey) years ago. I wouldn't have a clue where to find a copy nowday, unfortunately.

I bought mine at a EBGames a few years ago. Unfortunatly, they don't sell PS1
games anymore. My best bet would be to look on eBay or Amazon.

Try looking for it over at The Pirate Bay (http://thepiratebay.org). I downloaded a copy of it a long time ago, but when my old computer broke I never bother dowloading it onto my new one.
