Hey. I was wondering if anyone knew or had a sound recorder that was reliable and free. I want to record music that i stream from websites. But all the sound recorders I downloaded either didn't work, or had adware in the files. I can only use a free or free trail version as long as it lets me save the file. I had one that worked but every 10 secs or so a voice would cut off the recorder audio and say, "Please purchace Soundtap." It ruins the song and even when I edit those parts out, the part of the soung that was replaced by the voice is still missing. If anyone could post the name of a reliable sound recorder that's free, or when to download it from, I would appriciate it very much.

Have you tried Goldwave? It's a very popular freeware sound recorder and editor, and it's been my personal choice for sound recording for a few years now. Check here for the latest version:
