There's a song I fell in love with in Mechassault 2, and it's impossible to find any music from that game. All you can find is the two vocal songs, like they make the game. 9_9

I just downloaded it and I found all the songs I hear in Mech Assault 2 so the download is very true to those who think the OST is a fake nad it isn't a fake OST and I am very glad of that! Very much appreciated indeed DVDRick! :)

What`s the reason for being so pessimistic? There`s always a way and considering nonexistence of OSTs from these series all a person should do to reacquire gamerips of the respective games is reripping them. For example the 2nd game, Lone wolf uses the most typical Xbox format, Xbox ADPCM (*.XWAV) which is no trouble to rip even for a novice in VGM ripping. If you really want those I can find time in future to post them here. As for the 1st one it`s a bit more awkward as music is in raw PCM files and it`s very likely that they`ll just require an audio editor to even open them, not to say play or convert.

I remember that I found the entire Mech Assault 1 battle music track list (three versions for each environment, Forest, Arctic, and Volcano) were uploaded on You Tube someplace. They were nice mixes too- 5-7 minutes long for each track. I dunno if they're still up, I'll have to look into it.

Did you get them from that guy on youtube? I think I have those (although if you have better mixes I'd be thrilled). When I have time I'll find the link and post it.

Originally having appeared on HCS`s own VGM tracker streamed rips of both MA games have successfully made their way to HCS64 music archives, precisely Xbox section which is along with all the others is currently hosted on JoshW servers so that anyone desiring any of them can get them from Index of /m (http://xbox.joshw.info/m/). Direct DL links for MA 1 & 2 respectively are this (http://xbox.joshw.info/m/MechAssault%20(2002-11-11)(Day%201%20Studios)(Microsoft).7z) and this (http://xbox.joshw.info/m/MechAssault2%20-%20Lone%20Wolf%20(2004-12-28)(Day%201%20Studios)(Microsoft).7z) one. However as I previously said you`ll surely need either vgmstream or Aluigi`s XBADPCM plugin, even simple towav does the trick of converting them to something easily usable by the most common players. Ow and of course you`d simply disregard all my previous words about MA1 rip, it appears that it`s not anything raw that only an audio editor can open but ingame music is lossless TAK format already.

In case anyone else has any trouble making use of the above, just download foobar the relevant dll files, it should save a lot of headaches
