Does Anyone Here think Final Fantasy VI Is one of the better final fantasy's out there. It was extremely good and sometimes I feel that Final Fantasy VII just overshadows it.

Well, it's the first FF I've ever played, and, well, I still play it - some 9 years after my cousin introduced the game to me.
FFVII, I never did complete it. The PC version kept crashing on me, and the PSX version, well, I made it to the third disk and kept getting killed by a weapon. So I used a level-99-after-a-battle cheat, only to have my entire memory card wiped clean. And I couldn't be assed into playing it over.

I haven't played Final Fantasy 6 but i've heard that it is one of the best FFs in the series and many other people here think that aswell.

I think VI had a much better villain. Sephiroth he was definitely cool but he was made out to be more of a victim. Kefka was just a plain evil and bad.

I've always said VI was my favorite. Followed by Tactics then XII.
GO TINA!... err, Terra... CRAZY PINK ESPER!!!
I've actually played FF since the beginning, and while the original was (and still is) very fun indeed, IV (II in the US) just didn't excite me as much. When VI (III in the US) came along I was finally guthooked by the series. From the moment Terra, Wedge, and VICKS rolled up in their Magitek armor it was love.
Still my second favorite FF, and #1 vote for the greatest FF ever made.
VI is overrated. forgotten? hell na. it seems like everybody in real life will tell you that VII was better and the best out of the series and everybody online will tell you that anybody that likes VII is a fanboy and VI is the best in the series.
my opinion? VII is very similar to VI. i mean VERY similar.
-weapon that flies in the air/esper that flies in the air that you must defeat to get a super weapon/esper
-last enemy has a god like theme with opera with clouds in the background
-espers = materia
etc. there are more similarities but i don't feel like remembering them all. VII is what VI was supposed to be IMO.

forgotten? i think not. its my favourite FF and its a lot of other members favourite too.
With the remake and all that, the game is really not forgotten. Probably the most popular classic ff at the moment

I'd have to say that it is my all time fav. FF... Even as I type this out, it's in my DS (Running just so I can listen to the overworld theme without loading up winamp)

FFVI was possibly the best RPG of its generation and it's still very good now. I really like what the team did with the game, especially considering the technological restrictions they had. In all honesty, if the content from FFVI and FFVII switched places, fangirls would be swooning for Locke or Sabin or Edgar. Really.
I'm betting that a remake on PS2-level hardware would sell out, even if all they did was update the game's look and feel.
Besides, I also liked the game's original artwork and to be honest, I've never been big on the uber-pretty boy characters that've been pumped out since FFIX.

I loved FFVI WAY better than VII. Kefka was a much better villan than sephiroth ever was. Plus sephiroth looks alot like setzer.
but its over shadowed by FFVII

I think I need to try VI again in the future. I remember I was playing through the anthology version, but I kind of lost motivation when the storylines kept switching to the respective characters. I tend to enjoy following a story straight through - the seemingly random jumps in VI turned me off, and I probably just lost focus and started on a different game.

FFVI is easily my favourite and definitely my most loved title in the series. The opera scene impresses me to this day, and I would love a faithful remake even though it would never happen. :P
