To try and get my reputation up(only thinking of myself) I decided to upload the WHOLE Grim Fandango OST(I noticed there was only a small one). Official songs & all in-game music for part1,2,3 & 4.

Here is the DL link http://www.sendspace.com/file/sj4sqa

Just as an FYI, folks…

H@m makes this DL appear to be a brand-spankin' new "complete" RIP of GRIM FANDANGO… :notgood: but that's absolutely not true in any way.

This DL contains the exact same mp3 files created by the foiks over at LucasArtSoundtracks site (http://soundtracks.mixnmojo.com/ (then click on the "Grim Fandango" tab on the left side of the page). Exact same files, sizes, data rate, and duration (down to the millisecond). What can I say… I fully believe in folks getting the proper credit for their creations. LucasArtSoundtracks still has the files freely available from their own server -- the only difference being they are available as individual mp3 file DLs, rather than in one big DL like this one here.

Specifically included in this DL are the following:
GRIM FANDANGO: ORIGINAL GAME SOUNDTRACK -- This is a RIP of LucasArts Official 32-track soundtrack release.
GRIM FANDANGO: ADDITIONAL GAME SOUNDTRACK -- aka: the "PC Soundtrack." This is an outstanding 2-disc RIP created by the folks over at LucasArtSoundtracks, which contains a whopping 128 tracks! (CD1: 72 tracks + CD2: 56 tracks).

The only thing missing from this DL are the existing CD covers for both of these soundtracks -- you can easily grab them for yourself from the aforementioned LucasArtSoundtracks site (http://soundtracks.mixnmojo.com/. The covers are available there in full 300dpi RGB format, ready for printing out!

Therefore, if you've already grabbed GRIM FANDANGO from LucasArtSoundtracks, there's no need to grab this DL.

And if you've never visited LucasArtSoundtracks, give them a look. They also host terrific soundtracks/RIPs for the MONKEY ISLAND series, SAM AND MAX HIT THE ROAD, DAY OF THE TENTACLE, THE DIG, OUTLAWS, LOOM, and ZAK McKRACKEN.

So there. 'Nuff said.

I'm sorry, I did think it was the full OST seeing that I jotted down the number of songs when playing the game. And I counted up with that folder and it seemed right. As for where I got it was off another forum with an OST thread. They may have got it from there I don't know.

I must thankyou for you information. I had no idea that's how many songs there were, I was way off with my count.

But the reason I posted it was because 1.It's zipped(makes it easy) 2.I noticed this site only has a small amount compared.

I had no idea and I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused.

H@m…

Hey… don't worry about it… you really didn't cause any trouble at all. This was nothing more than a minor misunderstanding. Seriously… you have no need to apologize for anything!

Instead, I must apologize if I came across harshly in my post -- I really didn't intend it to come out that way. Whoops… I really just meant for my posting to be an "FYI" as to the actual DL contents for any interested parties out there.

As I mentioned before, I like to see proper credit given for gamerips whenever possible, and my reasons for this are twofold:

So anyone who already had these GRIM FANDANGO soundtracks wouldn't needlessly DL something they might already have -- especially folks on dial-up or other slow-speed line.

Also, I've unfortunately seen too many instances where people took credit for work that wasn't their own. (I've had this happen several times myself. Not with mp3, but where I discovered that my own copyrighted written material had been reprinted and/or reposted elsewhere; in some instances with my name replaced!) Although it obviously wasn't intentional, your initial posting did sorta make it appear as if you did these rips yourself. So I just stepped in with the content info so people knew which files these were, blah blah blah…

Lastly, since I didn't make it clear enough in my previous posting, I want to again say that I think it's GREAT you made both soundtracks available in a single easy-to-DL file!!! As I'm sure many folks here know, DL-ing 160 files individually (as I originally got these a couple years back) is a mind-numbingly dull process.

For those of you who don't already have GRIM FANDANGO, by all means grab this file!

Regards… and thanks again for the link!
