This show has one of my favorite intros ever, but it always makes me sad when I hear it because it only seems to serve as a reminder that this show could have been awesome if it was given more than a season. :(

the movie sort of made up for that. sort of.

also:

Firefly was really great. And each episode really did feel more like a movie than a TV show. And each one was better than the last! There's nothing like that anymore.

The show's first season was actually cut short. They knew they were pulled in the episode "The Message" where they had the music guy compose that beautiful peace for the ending scene with the snow and the group shot...
FOX also got all anal and had Joss rewrite the launcher episodes to make it more 'interesting right away with the gogogo'. They also aired the show all out of order.

The two disc DVD (for the movie) comes out this summer.

There's the new set of comics by Joss coming out this spring

There's an MMO coming out as well (I'm hoping they will not screw this up... so far my expectations are low, looking at the multiverse website and their forum).

I'm telling you Firefly is still flying! And it's enough.
